K4on, can you tell me more about the "Updated Helicopter Physics"?
Will it be a completly different kind of flying or just some improves to the current physics?

As you know the ingame BF2 speed values are not really comparable to real life, and its nearly impossible to get every vehicle behaving super realisitc within the BF2 engine.
But what we can do, is to make the speed rations between the choppers more realisitc.
Thats what we've done for the choppers in PR 1.3.

Example. The UH-1D/N/... (Huey variants) are super fast since 0.8 release, faster than most of the current ingame transport helicopters. But IRL it's a pretty slow chopper, even the updated UH-1N Twin Huey model isn't super fast.

Here an outdated(WIP) graphic I made back then for the team.

Those + a few more choppers have been updated already, the are still not perfect, but much closer to being realisitc than before.

Hind also get some speed boost? he is faster than the cobra in real life.

I think thats a good change.

It was always weird when you cant catch up to a Huey in an Osprey. Which made the Osprey kinda redundant because a Huey can land faster.

Nice....and....it would be nice that we can use enemy kits ...and.....to hear enemy local via mumble....like before....
