[Vehicle] M151

Alright, here we go.
ZZEZ asked me to import the M151 (classic 4x4 jeep most of you probably know) for the IDF. He struck a deal with one of my favorite modding teams, "Eve of Destruction" (EoD) - I played it like mad in BF1942.
We got permission to use their BF2 version of it - or rather the 6-7 versions of it - thats why this thread will get image heavy.
ZZEZ couldnt decide which model/version to use before he has seen them all - so more work for me "yay"

I doubt we are going to use the versions with the M60 on it, but it would be nice (one of my favorite guns).
However, that particular gun is giving me hell right now, so for starters I present to you the M151A2 .50 CAL version

I think it will suit the IDF pretty good. instead of having a heavy vehicle (golan) and a medium/heavy (hummer), it will have a heavy and a light/fast instead. maybe the hummer will be added later, I sure suspect that.

The files were rather unorganized compared to the PR "system" so it took quite a while, but here is the first of 6-7 versions:









Maybe its kind of useless to post so many pics of it, but what the hell, we got to show off some stuff right? I especially like to set a "scene" and for that I used two old Merks

However...
There are still good work to be done on these babies.

After I'm done with importing them - ZZEZ will decide which versions to use in PR (hopefully).
After that I will try to organize the files a bit more so it fits the PR system a bit better - and so I can distribute the files to other people who want a piece of this cake!

What needs to be done:

Reskinning to IDF colors ect...

coding/tweaking - will have to limit it to PR standards regarding views/camera.

It also explodes after ~30 M4 rounds (which may or may not be realistic - up to the designers. look at the pic with 2x jeeps on it, I drove one of them from the US base to the Marked and it was nearly burning, and I just had a few "minor" crashes :P woops)

pretty much. If you have a full M4 mag and get close enough = M151.dead if not; pull out sidearm and finish the job, and you will still have rounds left to shoot bad guys with before you have to reload :P

yes. after 1½ clip with the Jerico (on the pic) it was smoking. Got tired of using the pistol so I took out my trusty M4 instead - and boy did I destroy some M151's :P (good thing I had the regular bf2 vehicle spawntime on )

I suspect that a .50 CAL sniper or a LMG would send a chill down the spine of a IDF jeep jockey

good, Half the time I see jeeps race through a firefight thinking the ycan live anything. Also can a M82 round go through front window?

you are probably right, compared to the hummer which has some armor to protect against light fire, this one is basically just an engine, 4x wheels, seats and thats pretty much it = no protection, not even the engine I believe. All in all a "regular" car with green paint. So it should be stopped by less fire than the hummer for instance. And if it should be realistic - a regular car wouldnt drive that good after a few crashes either :P so its probably good as it is.

About the M82 - havent really tried it but I could do that tomorrow and fraps it. but only if I get the time.
