You guys have dona a very (VERY) good work with this faction! The models and skins for the soldiers, weapons and vehicles sure look wonderful. Keep up the good work!
I have one question though; why is the Israeli medic using a M16? I thought medics preferred lighter and shorter rifles, and I'm pretty sure that the Tavor is both lighter and shorter than the most M16-versions (ain't sure about what you mean by "m16mk", though). Correct me if I'm wrong! I'm only curious to know why Israeli medics prefer M16 instead of Tavors. |

Hehehe.
IDF still mainly uses M16A1 as its main assault rifle, they are however had their barrels shorten to fit CCQ, there are 3 types of M16A1s, mekotzar, menosar and mekotzrar, IDF doesn't use the "long" version of M16 unless its for cadets training. I listed them from the most accurate to the least. I gave medics M16MK which translates in to mekotzrar, its the shortest m16 in IDF useage and you can really hold it and fire with one hand if you want to :P It is far lighter and shorter then tavor, IIRC tavor is heavier then all m16s. The reason we use tavor as main assault rifle is because its currently replacing the m16s that IDF uses, 2/5 of infantry brigades use tavor as its main assault rifle[Givati and Kfir] while the rest wait for budget to purchase tavors. within 5 years or so tavor will be Israel's main assault rifle. |

Good insider info!
Question: will the M24 be reskinned to black, as that seems to be the most common? |

Ah, thank you for the info, ZZEZ! But how can the small Tavor be heavier than all M16s? It really don't look very heavy.

Because it's a bullpup, you have all the weight of a normal assault rifle put into a smaller space. It's the same with the SA80 - AFAIK, it is properly heavy.

Ok I made in 3ds to illustrate the difference between the M16s in IDF useage
top to bottom: Mekotzrar[Double shorten] - Least accurate IIRC 6cm deviation at 50m, used by special ops mostly. Menosar[Sawed] - Has bad ballistics, again not a gun for accuracy, mostly used by combat engineers and mechanized units. Mekotzar[Shorten] Relatively accurate, this one is mostly used by "grunt" units Long - The "best" gun, really isn't suited for CCQ, used by cadets as training rifle, squad snipers[M16A2E3] and reservists, there were some cases of reservists refusing to enter Lebanon unless they received this gun and not the others because of its accuracy and stopping power. ![]() Don't tell the Geneva convention but all these guns have functional Automatic mode |

Oh, shit, thank you! That really is some nice information. Feel abit ashamed for suggesting the TAR21 for the medics - the Mekotzar looks far more suitable for that role.
