New Defensive Emplacements
The new emplacement suggestions are.
Adding a LMG on a sandbag. Deployable minefield 5 mines in an X placement. Tank barriers. Sandbag wall that is impenetrable by vehicles. A TOW emplacement, one like the TOW that is on the Bradley not too powerful but will get the job done. Per FOB. 1 HMG 2 LMG 1 AA 1 TOW 2 Minefield 15 Sandbag/Razorwire/Sandbag Wall/Tank Barrier |

Heh, nice idea, though all I want is the TOW, maybe the tank barriers. I think the TOW could be implemented if its, the HMG's, and the AA launchers "health" was reduced so that 1 LAT or a few grenades destroy them. Also, TOW's would need a set look arc, like the HMG's have. | |

Everyone wants to easily kill their opponent but nobody wants to be the one easily killed. That line of thinking escalates weaponry to the point where practically every soldier has a shoulder-mounted nuke launcher that when fired, automatically displays the text "pwnt". -- [R-CON]Wolfe ____ Detroit Red Wings 11-2-3 _______ NOOB PR Tester

Re: New Defensive Emplacements
What would the LMG bring, that the HMG doesnt?
Minefield, get 2 engineers use the supply crates you built the FB with and you can place 16 mines in this manner iirc Razorwire vs vehicles needs to be fixed imo, I don't like inter-phasic vehicles/wire. Vehicle going through wire should destroy wire Tank Traps alla Kashan would be nice TOWs....hard one....I would venture to say that would be overkill as they are also effective against infantry at range. So if they were implemented, I'd only want them at bunkers, not firebases to preserve gameplay and prevent the spammage. |

Little do you know, that Operation Flashpoint 2 is a codename for the movement of Project Reality Mod to the big show. Bringing all the realism of Project Reality Mod, combined with spanking new graphics and the mythical 'F457R0P3Z' we bring you: OPERATION ARMED PROJECT ASSAULT REALITY FLASHPOINT 999

Re: New Defensive Emplacements
Nice ideas, as mentioned above I would make the following
conditions; Per FOB. 1 HMG = I think 2 are ok 2 LMG = perhaps very close to or attached to FOB itself 1 AA or 1 TOW = If TOW have it within a 25M radius of FOB to stop the issues mentioned already. (One well placed TOW can be devastating) 2 Minefield = as above I would suggest that this is not required as long as you have helpful squads. 15 Sandbag/Razorwire/Sandbag Wall/Tank Barrier = Vehicle barriers are a good idea. But I think game physics would need to be changed somehow. The current amount of 10 is ok imo. |

Re: New Defensive Emplacements
The tank barriers sound cool, but what are they?
Are they those X things you see placed on the beaches of OP baracuda? Because they would be really cool. |

Re: New Defensive Emplacements
I'd like burning barriers on Ramiel for the INS team so they can block off roads and force the US down certain approaches. Say 2 barriers within 200m of a hideout

Re: New Defensive Emplacements
deployable tank traps sounds very interesting i must say, and i think higher, stronger sandbags would be used more than the current ones.
