spawning in waves variation

Somebody mentioned spawning in waves, seen as it has its advantages and disadvantages I wanted to suggest a variation.
Maybe an in between could be found, like tying the respawn timer to the whole squad, ie if somebody dies and a couple of sec later another member dies the timer of the guy who died first gets reset to match the timer of the guy who died last.
That way you have spawning in waves to some degree at the same time the other members are motivated to stay alive to not prolong spawn time.

It would definately improve squad cohesion, shouldnt obstruct the gameflux too much seen how you are supposed to wait for your spawning members anyway and rally with them. The obvious disadvantages are that spotted rallies are harder to defend (though that could be arguably a good thing)

Hmm dystopia style, sounds good, the only problem would be that spawn time penalties would shift the players back out of sync.


I die a little on the inside everytime I read someone misuse the word "hardcoded".

Or, you could spawn, wait for the rest of your squad to spawn (or the dead ones to spawn) and move out

Na, that's too easy Has to be something more complicated that could be coded We might put it in the next patch, but it won't matter... Teamwork is hardcoded! hehe.

Yah obviously there needs to be a solution for that. The average penality could be calculated and slapped upon all dead squadmembers. Makes you even more popular for teamkillin .

If devs went with this system, hopefully they'd just remove the 1/2 seconds per death penalty, (don't see why it's ingame anyway) and just reset everyone's spawn time to 30 seconds everytime someone dies in their squad.
