Some Medic/Infantry suggestions
Decided to compile my thoughts on the subject and let you guys know.
(as a side note...I searched, and my last topic regarding Jeeps drivable by all is not a listed repost...may want to fix that, whoever has mod access Anyway, Medic stuff. 1: Remove the First Aid Kit, or make it a drop only, similar to the Rifleman's Ammo bag. Combat medics aren't exactly surgeons, they aren't gonna remove a bullet from you in the middle of battle. At best, they can put a bandage over you and you can hold out until you get extracted. Making the FAK into a prolonged healing item, similar to the Ammo bag, or merely a stronger 'bandage'(in which case the medic would have 2 bags), it would still be better then the whole being able to restore health completely thing. Also, this brings me to my next suggestion: 2: Remove field dressings from all classes except Officer and Medic. Officers can keep the payout they have right now...Medics should get like 10 of these things. This will make squad Medics more of a necessity than a 'bonus'. Besides, if you were to get shot in the arm, do you think you could patch yourself up, dealing with not only the pain, but the fact that you only have one arm to work with? I doubt it. Hence why the trained Medic would do it. 3: Defilibrators need to go. When you get shot, you don't have a heart attack or go into cardiac arrest. What's more likely, is shock, tbh. I suggest replacing them with a syringe. What's in it...I'll leave that open to suggestion. Depressants? Anti-Depressants? Pain-killers? You be the judge. But getting jolted back on your feet seems...unrealistic, in a sense. Whereas getting an instant injection to keep you going for just that little while longer would be a bit more feasable. Apologies if any of this has been suggested already, but I swear there's too many jumbled Medic suggestions out there, so I figured I'd post what I thought would be good and let you have it. |

If you see the ZOCOM squad ingame, and you've got VOIP and wanna pitch in to the squad, join up. Re: Some Medic/Infantry suggestions
I think in the syringe it would probably be morphine, followed by adrenaline? Also 1 and 3 been suggested before, 2 not, i think it could actually be quite a good idea!

medics will recieve a very thorughall makeover in v0.8
you can already read about some of the changes in the dev journal, but there are other new changes that are exciting too. Trust me, medics will be a VITAL element to a squad in v0.8. |

Dropping an ammo bag would be to vanillaish..
Combat Medics would have to fix up a downed soldier not the soldier fixing up him self.. |

Please no. Having these field dressings allows the medic to prioritise people e.g. Squad member A goes black and white so medic goes to him first while the other members of squad use their field dressings to hold on while the medic finishes with Squad member A.

I disagree. It is commonplace for all infantry (US anyway) to carry a wound dressing. Some even have kerlix.

Re: Some Medic/Infantry suggestions
Good to hear medics will become more important! Almost anytime I join a VOIP squad or any other squad I gotta take on the medic role. And thats not even when I join a fresh game! I dont mind being medic but not for my entire PR carreer
