And did I ever say that PR was a fast paced game? No, I said "3 minutes can seem like hours in a fast paced game", not mod, so don't tell me reading before responding actually helps when you can't understand how "game" is used in a particular context.

And may i ask you how the hell do you know how this will get implemented? Like i said, all you got was a wink from a DEV.
And may I ask you why the hell you think I am replying to the DEV? I am replying to the OP's suggestion (Death_dx), not the DEVs wink. If you don't know who or what someone is responding to, don't respond yourself then because all it is, is spam.

So wait for 0.8, try it out and then you can whine your ass off if you want.

O, and you aren't whining? Aren't you the guy who always complains if someone responds to someone else's concerns or reponse to someone else's suggestions without sharing your view 100%?

Re: Rally Points

The RP delay existed in the past and was a real problem for SLs. If an RP was set incorrectly it was impossible to fix that in short order. A destroyed RP means the squad was scattered across the map as survivors could not bring in reinforcements and the SL could not instruct the fractured group what to do.

Listen to experienced SLs on this issue. The more rules SLs have to worry about, the less SLing they end up doing and this hurts gameplay.

the bunker/firebase rules have COMPLETELY changed since the time you're talking about. it's not comparable. trust the devs.

Eh.. So you didnt say that PR is a fast paced game?? Thats odd, coz af far as i can see you actually did. "3 minutes can seem like hours in a fast paced game"

Isnt that the same as saying that PR is a fast paced game?

I wasn't refering to the Firebase/Bunkers, I was talking about the RPs.

Not really. If you want to attack quickly and all you need is 1 squad, than RPs are what you have to use. If you are defending or have time to build up for an attack, then Bunkers/Firebases are the way to go. Bunkers/Firebases also have limits, so they are not really comparable to RPs.

that's how it is in the current version. things are changing. the devs know what they're doing and have improved the spawn mechanics with each version (in my opinion, at least). have a little faith and at least try it out first.

the old time limit on RPs was in the RP's earliest days. a dev said things were buggy then, too. the RP rules have changed along with a lot of other things since .5 so i dont really accept a comparison. with the changes to the bunker/firebase rules, they will become MUCH more prevelent on the battlefield (we wont even need a commander to build them anymore). i wouldnt mind seeing the RPs tied to the firebases so that teams dont get spread out as much. fighting to destroy enemy bunkers/firebases is fun as hell and i hope .8 leads to even more of that.

i dont think a time limit for setting an RP is needed in this version, but that could easily change with a few gameplay tweaks. i am pumped at the new spawn mechanics (whatever they are). they are getting good at this.
