There did used to be a delay of about 2 mins I seem to remember.
I think rp should be about marking your secured territory, representing squad reinforcements & the supply chain.
We should move as far away as possible from the old 'beam me down scotty' sl spawning where troops appear in the middle of a battle

You could set rally point timing according to distance from the main base to reflect logistics of infantry transportation.
A forward bunker or firebase would then help to reduce but not eliminate the delay of setting the rally point.

No, Rudd is correct.

If your RP is taken out, you are likely on the flag. That means you have to get safely off the flag and than place another.

If you are next to your RP when it is taken out, the enemy should kill you if they don't want you to respawn.


Seriously though, anymore RP restrictions are just gonna kill the game.



We don't need anymore rules, players just need more education, and right now, it is pretty easy to find a good squad using teamwork which would be harder with more rules.

It was like that in a past patch (0.5) and it was annoying as hell. We don't need it again.

There was like a 3 minute delay and it killed squadplay.

You've never taken out an enemy RP while they've been attacking a flag, or fighting over a neutral flag? Even if you are on the flag and you need to place a new RP, the suggestion I made has no real bearing on it, as by the time you get 100 metres out the time limit would be up.

RP should be set up inside controlled 'zones,' spawning in groups behind enemy lines has always confused me. I cant really explan it, they're hardly airdropped.
It would slower it down, but be better for teamplay, and some magic would be more explanatory in terms of realism.
That, or make it expendable, so you have to 'quicksave' more often.

I personally think the squad should have to all stand on one leg and chant shim shala bim for three minutes before a new rally point will be re-established creating the most realistic scenario possible...........dohhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! No really ...... im serious ...........------------> Otay I was only joshing.

No it wouldn't. as I already said, we had the long time limit before and 3 minutes can seem like hours in a fast paced game.

If an enemy takes out our RP while defending a flag, we move immediately to another spot to put an RP which takes about 30 seconds. So you are saying we should wait the other 2:30 minutes to place an RP instead of defending a flag? 3 Minutes sounds like nothing, but we all know how long 5 minutes waiting for another kit is and that is only a 2 minute difference.

How can you place one without a SL? I am always SL, so I am speaking as the guy who would be shot defending the RP. Ok, fine, 4 people get away from the RP, but that doesn't mean the SL would get there alive or vice versa.


Like I said, this was tried before and it made no sense to wait.
Waiting=no teamwork and frustration.

Yeh and make it not have a radio static so the enemy has to guess its location by troop movements.

I kinda think the radio thing good right now

it gives you a chance to remove it if you're in proximity so you don't get shot in the back by someone who just spawned out of the blue.
