grenade physics
is it possible to change the grenade physics to make grenades less bouncy? (by adding weight)
It would be cool if grenades behaved a little more realistically |

Where's jonny? I know he's looking into changing some of the gravity settings and, i think, grenade launcher trajectory/power. It's along those lines...
Anyways, you think the grenades are too bouncey? I don't think they are. Yeah they bounce off walls when you through them at one but it's not that bad. |

The GL physics is what needs a couple changes.. You hit a wall at a 45 degree angle and it bounces strait back at you! WTF!!

It's not only the 40mm nade that behaves odd.
The normal frags are also really weird. You toss one from a steep hill and instead of rolling down, it'll just move like 2 meters down and then stop. I think the bouncing grenade launcher nades were added by EA in a patch later to prevent people from launching grenades all around. |

A grenade is a metal ball, it does not bounce much but makes a loud sound instead.
They should roll a little more though, I will try the gravity settings on a dedicated server along with the real ballistics I have almost finished. I am able to test the concept with the actual values that will be used, but have not yet calculated angles of elevation of the barrel. There are of course the limits of the engine. This is about all I can do wih the ballistics, there are no other settings to tweak. I will be moving on to recoil, rockets, tank/APC shells, mortars and vehicles next! If they are to be included I can at least get the ranges right and draw up a few ballistic tables for you. |

how about making it possible to count the grenade down before throwing it?
like 1..2 then throw so it explodes exactly when u want it to. |
