Plane/Heli suggestion

Hey guys, this game is great and creative, but I feel its missing something. Just like an APC, infantry can respawn in it. What about one of those planes the drop off airborne infantry and spawn in it after they are dead/maybe pickup at the airstrip if respawning inside seems cheap.( You may have seen this in other BF2 mods). I'm not too sure if anyone has suggested this, but the transport choppers should a rope line, so they don't always have to land for quick extraction/insertion. Like in some of the maps with bamboo trees everywhere, its tough to land I think it would be a great addition to the mod. Please take this into consideration, I feel this would be great for the game.

Fast ropes were already suggested.

There are ways to make quick extraction/insertion without ropes.
Examples:
- quick extraction from top of buildings
- quick insertion right to the water below.

Usually, you don't have to land to make extraction/insertion, just hover above the ground.

i get what you are saying mate sounds like a good idea, some ropes from the black hawk would be awesome, after all its how they do it

Mobile spawning is removed in 0.7. It doesn't work as we intended it to.

As for fast roping, we take bets on these forums on how long it will be before someone suggests it again. Sorry, it can't be done with the BF2 engine.

I bet that the day that 0.7 is released there gonna be at least 3 fastropes suggestions within 24 hours

Why cant it be done? Perhaps carefully put a static graplin type rope on the side of a blackhawk. And then if you in say 30-5 feet of the ground you would exit onto the fastrope (graplin in this case) and then descend as normal.

And why is the idea of paratrooping so bad? This mod is based on REALITY isn't it? an Airborne unit wouldn't be so unrealistic.

Wait you're removing the ability from all vehicles?

It could still be useful for trucks and if some sort of transport aircraft (C-130?) was added.
