Helicoppter Suggestion
I love the game, its just that when I'm flying a helicopter and crash can it be more realistic? Like one time my friend Death_dx and I were flying in the British helicopter when a RPG hit us. The helicopter didn't blow up, but was losing altitude. He landed the same way he would using land but a little faster and rougher, and we blew up right when we hit the ground. I know the helicopter lost almost all its health and would have blown up in the air if someone shot at it. I still think we could have landed and got away with minor injures.
My suggestion is instead of hitting something and blowing up having a alternative crash landing etc... And for the USMC black hawk. I was just wondering if you could make the tail spin out if the tail gets hit with an RPG or anything else that would cause surmountable damage. PS: I did try looking for a post like this in search, but the internet speed where I'm am at is slow and I have to go. thank you for your time Singing_meat |

Btw, when it comes to chopter crashing i sometimes dont hear the sound of the crash. I just see the chopter getting turned into charcoal immidiately without any sound or explosion. Often happens when someone crashes a BH of Kashan or Jabal

Usually, a helo has enough kynetic energie in the rotor to land safely + the airflow going throught makes it pick up lift
And yes, add a little more physics when a helo gets hit (the tailrotor spinning if hit by rpg) |

the only way i see is to somehow reduce collision damage for the choppers (which could be exploited)

About the BH in 0.5 that was a tactic. Fly in a circle above factily and the insrgents all look up and waste ammo.

one time i was flying the merlin in basra with my mate. we spotted a cache and as i came to land on the road, we were hit by an ied that was set for the apc. i flew off and gained height but the chopper somehow started coming down without any power and then we blew up. that is somehow realistic, i just wish you could fly a bit farther without power so you could tell your crew to bail out

ive actually remember flying a blackhawk when it got hit by an RPG, and started spinning, but i managed to gain control of it

yeh anyways, i think the helicopter should loose more control than it does so it makes it more realistic

i think the choppers should get more damage by rpgs , like one rpg and the chopper is doomed , etc .
