FB-type whiteout without the FB?

I looked in the Already Suggested thread and can't seem to find this answer anywhere. Maybe someone familiar with the mod can answer it for me.

Everyone that plays PR has probably been hit with a Flashbang at least once already to understand the effects. If not, go ahead and drop one at your feet and give it a try.

I was wondering if it's possible to give a similar effect to a specific person, without having to pop a FB over them? Remove all visual data from the GPS, make their map blank, disable the radio, etc. Pretty much turn a player into a non-combative, yet still able to move around. And the ability to turn this mode on and off if specific conditions have been met.

I just need someone to inform me if this is possible or not.

I'd like to hear also why and what would trigger the effect?

Seeing that you can add an effect to an individual player based on health status (blurred vision), I would think you could code the player to be non-combative. I just don't know how, or what exactly can be disabled temporarily and then reactivated later.

If someone can tell me it's possible, then I'll fire away with some realistic uses.

The only thing that i could possibly think of thats worth a shot, is if you stand behind a Tank once it fires.. the Blur effect should be enormous.. the bleed effect is more then enough when your hurt..

Suppressive fire idea? May be a bit extreme though.

Was suggested before as an effect of being shot - seeing as taking a bullet or two doesn't really affect your combat performance. Would love to see it as possible to simulate searing pain of lead striking flesh, and to prevent the all too common situation of a soldier carefully centre massing shots only to be gunned down by an insta-proning full auto firing enemy before the crucial 3rd/4th shot

Actually the use I saw for it would be for a new mission type. If you could give one of the players this effect from the start, and have them spawning in the middle of the enemy, it could simulate a non-combative that must be rescued. The person would have no kit, and would not be able to use his radio to spot the enemy as an exploit.

Having all abilities removed, he would have to wait for his team to rescue him. Once his "POW camp" or whatever was secure, the effect would be removed and he could be able to request a kit and join in the fight.

Other uses come into mind, but I'm sure you get the idea. Downed pilot maps, etc.

I think being hit would be the best for this to happen, for a second of 5.
