Fake Spots

don't you all hate it when someone spot something like a tank and it isn't there.. well i do, for example i fly in the apache helicopter as a pilot in kashan desert then someone spots a tank at the bunkers so i went over there and go looking for it.. at the mean time there comes a the enemy chopper or a mobile aa or something and i dont see that because i am looking for a ghost tank.. so i am dead or atleast under attack... so my idea was to make the ''fake spot'' icon a deferent then the normal like a other color so we can see that it maybe a fake tank and move on

what do you think of this idea?

"Manually" spotted targets always point to north.

Also you need to remember, that majority of manual spotting is true data, and whereabouts of the target are usually quite precise.

I do not support this idea, let's enjoy the minimap at it's full glory while we still have it.

Yeah, often, if it wont spot for me, ill manually spot in the general area... so maybe you just arent looking hard enough?

I doubt many PR players randomly spot out fake tanks to get their choppers downed..

Also, dont ever get too focused on the target/potential target that you lose situational awareness. Real target or not, theres not much excuse for not looking for enemy AA dangers...

Do you know what i hate about spotting in PR? 90% of the time when i see an enemy and spot him it becomes a question mark, It makes people think i'm lying sometimes and i hate that! Thats why i spot over mic to my squad and give them the exact location instead of

ME: Enemy spotted!
SL: Where?
ME: There look on mini map!
SL: What all i see is a question mark.
ME: Dude he was right behind the building!
SL: If it did'nt show up on minimap he aint there.
ME: Dude i'm telling you somethings there!
SL: Ya sure ok whatever Squad move up to E3 and lets set up a rally behind those small rocks.
ME: Squad leader i dont think it's a good idea i saw a guy with a PPSH move to there.
SL: Listen david if it did'nt show up on map nothings there.
ME: Ok fine maybe i was seeing things.
SL: Ok squad follow me.

20 seconds later everyone is dead.

Thats what i hate about PR spotting sometimes when people see the question mark they assume you're lying, Until they get riddled with bullets.

this suggestion is probably targeted towards me, i will very often spot
"jets"
or "mobile AA" when i'm playing as brits on basrah, the funny part is occasionally the merlin will make a U-Turn mid-flight when he sees the jet on his mini-map.
