Delayed Supply & P.O.W's
In my opinion these kits should have a delayed supply on map start and should only be available in main base:
H-AT Kit, Sniper Kit, Pilot Kit - X minutes of delay after map start and X seconds of delay after kit request always made in main base which would be the only available place to get them. Instead of getting them from the flag area in main base i think it would be best to have special rally points or supply post where you could get those kits and that could be destroyed/repaired or re-spawned in a designated supply zone at main base. If you use the supply post (a bit like the commander post but only for resupply and repair) you would only have one available but if you use the special supply rallies idea you could have more then one on different places of the main base area. This would help so that you don't get 10 pilots on game start for 2 or 3 helis or everyone running to get a sniper kit... By having to wait a few minutes on game start and a few seconds after every of those kits request on those designated locations less people would get them without even knowing how to use them. Another idea i think it would be cool to have: I know PR used to have an Extraction type of game and that it may be added again in next version... i'm sure it will be really nice to play it in maps like the Black Hawk Down. I don't really know how it works and how you choose who will be the crashed pilot or VIP person and how you force them to have a specific kit in that type of game but if you already have a way to do that selection then it could be used on this idea aswell: P.O.W - Game would start with 2 teams as normal. For example the UK against the Militia. But the Militia would have one of the squads spawn as P.O.W's with a kit like the civilian in insurgents. The P.O.W's would be surrounded by either walls or metal fences and with a few UK troops defending the prison. The rest of the UK troops would spawn at the other side of the map on vehicles and would have to drive to the prison to help defend it. The armed militia would have 2 objectives: 1 - destroy the bridge that connects one side of the river to the other where the prison is and where the enemy vehicles will have to pass, trying to either delay them or destroy them. 2 - blow up the gates at the prison and rescue the P.O.W's Rules: - Supply Crates and parachute vehicles wouldn't be allowed since the commander could try and place a supply crate in the prison for the P.O.W's to get other kits. - UK forces cannot shoot the P.O.W's or they will loose a lot of tickets. - P.O.W's will have to try and get another kit when they are free and secure the prison so that other soldiers aren't thrown inside. -UK teams will have to re capture it and repair it. -Every militia soldier killed in a X meters area of the prison will become a prisoner if the prison is repaired and secured by the UK. You can check a movie called "The Great Raid" to get the idea of how it would be. Other factions could be chosen or make new ones but that would give more work to the devs so i think these ones would be fine. Let me know what you guys think |

I really like the POW idea, very good! I will post a new thread later because I have so many ideas on it, I will give you credit though!
EDIT: Can any Dev or knowledgeable person confirm if its possible to make a certain number of people spawn at one place? |

I think it is a good idea and not that hard to do. Would solve a lot of problems in my opinion... |

We can randomly pick people at round start and move them if we want, but the problem would be the kits. They will have the kit they spawn with.
Also what should happen if you suicide? Or the enemy kills you? There are a lot of variables you have to think about and all the ways people can exploit them when suggesting this kind of ideas. |

Well you could make so that every soldier on that team spawns with civilian/p.o.w kit and they have to get another kit after spawning... that way you only have to worry about who spawns where. Suicide or any other death would work as normal unless you're killed in the prison area, that way you become a prisoner.
civilian/p.o.w kit doesn't have any weapon so they cannot free them selfs from the prison. Limited spawns were the GB team can't go will secure that soldiers can spawn and get a new kit without being spawn raped. From what i could see from the map files you can choose kit rules according with the map you're playing so that shouldn't be that hard. Anyway, my main suggestion was the one about the delayed supply of limited kits only available in main base on specific locations/destroyable assets. What do you think about that one? |

I actually think that Operations Ghost Train would work really nice for the P.O.W concept... you can even keep the Chinese but put them against the US. Make so they spawn on their tents without any weapons and have to get them before leaving base, a few will spawn at the prison with the same kit. US main base could be created where the temple is, chinese vehicles with spawn would be where the GB base is, and the prison would be where the trenches currently are.
You could place a few pick up kits in the prison that only have a shovel and some rocks, leave a few wholes beneath the metal fences and cover them with dirt like the one used beneath the sandbags and bunkers, make that it takes a lot of time to destroy them with the shovel. That way prisoners won't just be there waiting to be saved but can also do something... Make a rule that if you kill a P.O.W you will loose a lot of points, so that the chinese team doesn't kill them. But maybe it would be nice to have a shotgun with rubber bullets so you can fire at the prisoners to make them stop digging... they won't die of it, just won't be able to move or do anything for some minutes... that way you would need to have distractions to have one guy digging the whole. But maybe these few new ideas will be difficult to do... let me know |
