Marksman more urban friendlie

I would like to see the marksman being more urban friendlie.
Some maps have open spaces and suddenly it goes over to urban combat.

A marksman ingame is most of the time uselles in close quarter fight.
So what i suggest is a change on the kit:

* Knife
* Entrenching Tool
* Carbine (3 or 4 mags)
* Precision Rifle (120 rounds)
* Fragmentation Grenade x 2
* Smoke Grenade x 1
* Binoculars
* Field Dressing x 1

The Carbine would be just like the crewman kit, with 3 or 4 mags.
Given the Carbine to the marksman would make him multi funtional and more helpfull to his squad, and could stick easier with his squad. most of the time marksman are actualy pretty far of the squad to function as a sniper.
but should be the opposite, sticking with the squad.

discuss

No, I really dont like this idea. The current marksmen kits all have semi-auto rifles which are fine for urban combat. And since they should be back from the squad(20 meters)and following them, he shouldn't need a carbine.

it's also an optional kit, so if it is not suitable in your opinion to a particlar situation stick with your assault rifle

Adding a carabine to a marksman kit would only increase number of lonewolf marksmen IMO... and probably carabines are not standard marksman loadout IRL

How about adding sniper rifles to medics or engies because they are useless at long ranges (sarcasm)

RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!!!

I good marksman would realize the marksman kit is not suited to an urban environment and would choose another kit for that round. In situations were a map is both open and urban like Jabal, then the marksman should find a good shooting position to provide cover fire when the rest of his squad is assaulting the city. A marksman who decides to attack with his/her squad going into the city's urban areas isn't doing his/her job properly and should not be using that kit.

it only have 3 mags, not that much compared to his buddies.
but realy adding a carbine shouldnt be that much of a harm.

and realy how many lonewolfers are their today?
when i am on a server the max lonewolfer is see are mostly 4 or something thats it the rest sticks with his squad? lonewolfers is abit of a lame excuse realy. (thats what i think afcourse)

Marksman opperates with his squad, he provides fire for abit more longer ranges than a normal soldier, adding a carbine with only 3 mags would help him abit if he had to enter a urban combat zone, where he cant hit someone from close that easily.

and j45h89: a support gunner is ment to provide covering fire, not a marksman. you are realy describing a marksman as a sniper right now.

I'm not saying lonewolf, by all means keep with the squad, but in a situation were the rest of the squad is attacking the city the marksman should stay back and provide cover. Also by adding a carbine there will be a sudden rush of people trying to use that kit because it has a carbine, assuming US marksman would have M4, it would turn into another assault class because any good squad has riflemen that can re-arm the carbine ammo.

True a support gunner does provide cover, but since he does not have a scope he is pretty useless unless he is in the thick of it to provide cover. A marksman is not meat for close combat, thats why he is a marksman.I'm not saying marksman is a sniper, i'm saying to get the most out of his kit and to give the most help to his/her squad, he/she should be in a position to provide cover as the kit is not meant for close urban combat. Then once said objective is secure he/she can go in and regroup with the squad and move on.
