Unhappy Too much fall damage?

I've noticed that the fall and exiting a moving vehicle damage is massive. If you get out of a truck moving at maximum speed, and you'll die. I'm not an expert on jumping out of things before they explode, but doesn't jumping out of a car get you a broken arm? A broken arm is hardly life threatening. Same goes for the fall damage. Dropping 10 feet, even onto concrete, will not give you a life threatening injury. It might hurt you slightly, probably a twisted ankle, possibly a broken one. Especially if you drop out of a helo into water. A person can drop from at least 20 feet into water without any injury, especially if that water is broken by helicopter down draft. Might hurt like hell if they landed wrong, but they won't be injured.
The only reason those damage mechanics are in place is for realism, and they aren't realistic.
Okay, maybe they're realistic in a world where nobody drinks milk.
Thoughts?

a broken arm in combat would at least mean, you are unable to fight for the next weeks so, ingame thats equivalent to being dead

Hmm. Hadn't thought of combat ineffectiveness.
Still, there's no mechanic for it, like in say AA3, so it just hinders gameplay.

A reduction in fall damage would be great. I understand that the reason fall damage is excessive is because it is supposed to simulate receiving a serious injury that will take you out of action, but it should be toned down not only in favor of realism but also in favor of gameplay.

I mean, these soldiers must be incredibly clumsy, out of shape, and frail to receive these disabling injuries so frequently when falling such short distances. I also felt that this video is relevant.

Well I wanna see you jumping down from 10 feet on concrete with roughly 35 pounds on your back. Fall damage is pretty "accurate" and has been discussed often enough. Death in-game is not equivalent to RL death but more to an inability to fight, thus being away from the BF for days/weeks. Snazz already said enough.
If you take the medic as example, in RL you wouldn't just go and fight on after you took a bullet. Thats only for the sake of gameplay.

Yeah, Phatcap has the idea right. Your carrying a ton of equipment on your back (Well, conventional forces, that is), and well, quite frankly, jumping out of a vehicle while moving isn't quite smart, unless you aiming for PR: GTA. Also, falling 10 feet with a lot of weight on your back isn't too ideal either.

You start bleeding if you bail from a burning vehicle, even if it's stationary. It's a feature.

I wish there was a way to fix the 'running down stairs too fast insta bleed thingy' though.

a turned ankle or concussion can really screw up your ability to fight effectively

either get a medic to make sure your ankles are ok or just don't jump down anywhere you might get hurt

you try jumping out of a car irl and get back to me.

whilst a broken arm may not be life threatening, a broken hip would most certainly be.
