Why was the range finding feature even removed in the first place?!? Can't be just for cosmetics?

marker should still be 3d and on the map, just without the distance, that would be the best compromise imo since you cannot show people where to aim or go in game.

As I said, just turn off the marker with ALT if it bothers you. Other than that it's a bad idea to completely remove it from the hud... Unless you can implement full directional awareness which if I remember in other suggestions you can't (wonder why). It's a game, remember that. If there's a lack of realism then why play it on PR? Do it IRL...

Yes I know the map is old, but that doesn't really matter now does it?

I agree, we should remove the markers from the hud and only have them on the map.
Or at the very least remove the distance underneath them.

Then give the affected kits a GLTD with a rangefinder instead of binoculars.

I'd much prefer the player skill of estimating distances ingame should be nurtured

Let me make it clear that this suggestion is not about removing markers in any way, just the distances that are attached to them. The suggestion for removing markers has already been suggested anyway, many times.
