currently on basrah the APCs spawn after a delayed time, however the tank and rovers spawn first.
this really punishes a pubbing team imo. 1) you have to be really aware of spawntimes to use the main british advantages 2) your team has to be disciplined enough to return all the rovers to main in order to transfer to mechanised infantry 3) The current setup doesn't encourage the tank to support the APCs as it goes off, gets in contact and doesn't necessarily break it to support the APC (i.e. the main team movement) actions. so Tank on delayed spawn Warriors and scimi spawn at start preferably less rovers spawn at main, they are good on a 16 layer and there they should stay exception being teh VCP. this means the Brit team isn't running around in crappy vehicles at the start of the game rather than the teamwork orientated assets. I use the word crappy to describe the teamwork orientation rather than their effectiveness as a single unit. HOWEVER, I do recognise that the proposed setup could be disadvantageous for the INS side, as the presence of powerful teamwork assets at the start of the game could possibly lead to no preparation time in setting up of defence at the first caches. The compromise is to have the warriors ALSO on a delayed spawn. meaning the only armoured asset working at the start is the scimi (i.e. the recon and FSG vehcle) This effectively means the British team would have to wait around at the VCP for 10mins, this is plenty of time for the INS to make a defence. The lack of rovers ensures that the British team that defends for the first 10mins, will be safe, as without that fire support they have to hole up in the VCP/main base. However, I am of the opinion myself that a delayed spawn on the warriors isn't really required given the delay on intel etc. |

sounds intersting :P i deffinatly agree with what your saying .. having the tanks go out and get blown up during the first APC+Tank wave is redicilious ... the whole armor spawning has to be revised a bit ... making the smaller armor such as Cimitar go out first .. defending apc suport aka( Dropping off people ) which is what APCS are designed for and which arnt being used 100% properly in PR. and yea giving less rovers would help support and encourage more team work.

I agree that: The C2 should have delayed spawn, we should have less jeeps, possibly some spawning in delayed, and that ALL apc's should spawn right away. With the Warriors up right away, and less jeeps people will be more inclined to take a ride in the apc instead of leaving a jeep out in the field. It really sucks when you spawn in at main and find nothing left.

I dont really see what impact this would have on the game 20 minutes into the round. On a server with tactical awareness it will be the same. On a pub server it will be the same aswell, except for the fact that the insurgents have a lot of time to set up IEDS on the border river passes of the map, before the tank is coming that way.
What I like about your post here, is that the VCP would become a little more valuable, but not at alot. |

SO basically, 1.By making landies spawn at the VCP, more people would spawn at VCP versus main, reducing the amount of time before troops get back into the fight/get transported 2.Less transport landies would be required, because the APC's wouldn't have to transport as far and wouldn't be as far away, so squad leaders should be more willing to call for transport 3.Would force the team to protect the VCP, and in extension, the bridge giving the tank an easier way to deploy and aid the team, versus going the back way and getting caught up in its own thing(personal experience.) More infantry would be around the tank too, giving it more eyes. | |

Tank's doesnt respawn, well it does but it takes 99999 seconds, and thats why it cant have spawn delay at start of the map because it would take 99999 seconds =P

damn, forgot that :P
still, even if it meant the tank's removal I'd prefer teh APCs to spawn first, even if it was on a 32 layer |

You could give it 2 hours respawn time. So when the tickets starts to go low. And the British forces needs something more. Viola a tank is sent. If the British team doesn't last 2 hours, too bad and if they win before they didn't need it anyway.
I would love to see a new layer. Brits: 6 APCs, 2 logitrucks, no jeeps, no transport trucks, no air. Insurgents: 6 bomb cars, 2 technicals, 1 "big red", no bikes, no civi cars. Both teams would have to use their assets wisely or be in big trouble. Insurgents would have to rely on ambushs, IEDs, spawnpoints and close quarter defense rather then fast movement. Brits has to rely on heavy firepower from outside the city (going in to it would be death trap for the APCs), and fast moving infantry that can hit the target and move out. |
