Alright, so hear me out before you flame.
It is often a very rare event to see a Commander-deployed JDAM used in Project Reality, but when it is used, it's certainly very enjoyable to watch. Considering this, why not make it even more spectacular and destructive? My proposal is that the JDAM the commander calls in be replaced with a low-yeild tactical nuclear explosion. Now, I think that on maps like Muttrah City where there's a discrepancy in the off map supports (ie. MEC has artillery, US has JDAM) then a tactical nuke shouldn't be used, because obviously it would be too powerful for one side. However, on maps like Kashan Desert, Quinling, and Barracuda, where both sides have JDAMs, I think the nuke would be more appropriate. Just to demonstrate, here's a video of a nuclear explosion mod that some guys created for vBF2: YouTube - BF2 Nuke V2.0 Now, if some BF2 dudes can create something that impressive, surely the resourceful and creative Project Reality DEV team can too? And about the whole "nuclear" aspect in PR with factions: I know many people woudln't care that much, but it ceratinly would be possible for all the factions to have nukes. IRL, China has them, the US has them, England has them, and the MEC, even though they are fictional, presumably has them, if Pakistan (a nuclear-armed country) is a member. Or maybe they just built them themsleves. Anyway, this is obviously a very down-the-road project if the DEVs consider it, but I'm curious about your thoughts, everyone. Thanks for reading! |

As these thread come up ever so often "The nuclear ideas" thing about the damage verses the two. One is a 500-2000 pounds bomb used weekly while the other is a...nuclear weapon, even if only small.
