1) To add variation, and they are used.
2) Has a good mix of weaponary that is easy to balance. Not as many rockets as a huey, but also has a cannon, though not with the ROF of the minigun.
3) One is already almost made, by USI, and I love the heli.

Plus, quietens all the complainers who scream at the LB being spec ops only and is a similar style of heli.

It's not a good idea on a map with so little cover.
It should be the opposite. Built up urban maps with lots of potential collateral damage there shouldn't be less access to fire support not more. Rural maps should have more air support or armor. It just makes more sense.

Bradleys on fallujah, A10 on Sangin....

Support comes from whoever is there.... No reason some Army OH58s couldn´t be assisting canadian troops.
Maybe those maps have them because they were there in real life?

even if they put the OH 58's in they'll just give it some crappy loadout so its not "WTFZOR UBERPWN"

Still, the atatck Huey wouldn't fit Operation Archer, it's way too open for any attack heli, because the attack Heli would just dominate. BHs would be the only feasible thing, but they are going to Canadian, so no BHs. Just stop being a crap team and take out that squad/technical...

Jesus I hear all these people complaining about Techies camping main when a short burst from a .50 cal takes them out....

Yes rural maps SHOULD have more air support. However that's getting to realistic, because the Taliban SHOULD be able to hide behind a bunch of civilians who SHOULD be in that village.

Curious to see what the griffons will be like. Somebody provided the Canadians irl with CAS during operation archer though. I wonder what faction it was and what they utilized.

I always fly, and I am a good pilot I rarely die... so I shouldn't leave my chopper to go shoot that technical....
I do ask friendlies to take him out but there is no one answer, I try to avoid him as much as I can but sometimes you have to do something in the area...

There are OH58's supporting Canadian Forces in Afghanistan. I'm not sure about Operation Archer in particular, but the series Combat School shows a Kiowa providing CAS for them in the final episode. So it's realistic.

All we should need is BH with mini gun's, but i think if they are going to be heavily relayed on there mini gun's need to be beefed up to a realistic lethal. because right now they are not, no where near as lethal as they should be.

In fact they should have a spread of around 2-4cm at 100m's, these weapons are not as precise as they are in PR, they like a shotgun blast. that shoots out hundreds of rounds a second.

If you fire this weapon at say 180m down a street 40m across, what will happen is the entire diameter of the street from one side of the other would be pelted with bullets. That roughly how big the spread should be

on Ramial and im under fire from a little bird. im not at all afraid of being hit, becauses his grouping is so small, and due to the view distance and a number of other factor. he quite frankly has buckly's chance of hitting me. and i must say that bull.

People bitch about techs camping the main, all you have to do is whip out your Acog and shoot the gunner.
