no, i mean go ingame and hit someone with a thermite nade, they insta die...

i learned it while waiting for the apc to spawn in the ship, i was bored, i threw smoke, then i threw an incineary at my tm, and it instakilled him, a few minutes later someone did it to me.

is that a glitch that noone noes about?

It still damages vehicles. especially since it was added to every soldiers kit. Are all US regular army soldiers required to carry a thermite grenade with them..? Or any army for that matter.

From encyclopedia.stateuniversity.com :

"A classic military use for thermite is disabling artillery pieces. Thermite can be used to permanently disable artillery pieces without the use of explosive charges and therefore operate with a reasonable amount of stealth. The 2nd Ranger Battalion used thermite grenades against the Nazi artillery at Pointe du Hoc during the Allied invasion of Normandy"


Used in WW2 to disable artillery pieces. Not to be placed on top of tanks so they are disabled instantly.

IMO thermite grenade in PR shouldnt have 'explosion damage' effect - when they start to burn they do much damage.
Instead thermite grenades should give slow damage [it gonna take some time to destroy fob/crate/vehicle] so you can damage firebases/and abandoned vehicles.

When vehicle is crewed it can just move away from incendiary and do not take any damage.

IDK, yesterday at Korengal Valley with a Striker, i got hit with 3 incendiary grenades in a row. We were still alive and not smoking.

Qaiex: My solution was to not have twitter. You should try it. Feels good, and I don't miss any information that was worth hearing in the first place, since nothing on twitter ever is.

depends, on Qwai my apc(WZ551) lost mobility from one incendiary, and it was brand new, without any damage

Well, my Striker took some damage by climbing the hills. But even then, some frag grenades, RQK grenades, Incendiary grenades and PKM fire, we were okay. No smoke or nothing.

Incendiary Grenades have to be put directly on top of the vehicle; underneath or nearby doesn't affect it at all.

The biggest problem with this is tanks, since you can jump on them quite easy. If a squad rushes the tank, the tank is doomed.


Also, RKG Grenades only really damage if hit directly. Frags do nothing.. and I doubt they put an incendiary grenade on top of you. Although I believe PKM does damage the stryker, but not much.

The amount of damage and the radius of the damage is very annoying. This doesn't always happen but about half the time someone throws an incendiary grenade at my vehicle it instant tracks it and brings white or black smoke while the other half nothing happens. This happens instantly and even half a second before the fire animation comes off the grenade giving you no time to move.

I have had friendlies burning crates at a FB position with my apc sitting nearby to help them and although the grenade was 5m away it tracked our apc which then burned as we RTBed. So saying that its ok wit infatry support isn't a good argument because they are so unpredictable in their effects my own team has TKed me. I would rather they do no or little damage to manned vehicles than almost kill them to stop infatry from rushing vehicles like they did when you could still spawn as engineer and C4. If you don't have an AT kit. or AT support and an apc finds you, it should be able to kill you without having to worry about this random grenade being thrown and instantly trapping them.
