Would it be possible for squad leaders to have one of their smokes replaced with a flare? So you can pop the smoke for a requested air strike/support and then to make it clear (say its in the woods) you would pop a flare as they draw near. You would only get one and it would only be available to squad leaders.

I think a flare would be a good idea. maybe one smoke color and one flare color?
I hate popping smoke because it takes some time to build and stays there forever when you just want to get to your box that was dropped.... but if you had a flare then you could pop it off, the chopper can land and your re laded and outa there! the flare is there then gone. |

i kinda like the idea,, would be usefull to indicate a firefight as you cant see smoke behind buildings, dont know how much work is required to do it but sounds neat

cant be too hard, you can already make your fist shoot flares via a small script change in sandbox.. just make it shoot farther and give it a model.

What im saying is that yes, it should replace 1 of the signal smokes. What's the point of 2 colours? Wouldnt you rather a flare?
