Still though, this suggestion would still help those without mics, VOIP, and players not in your squad. If its an easy impliment, why not? | |

I'd like to see something for pilots that says "GIVE AN EFFIN GRID FFS!"
So when someone just shouts Lasing Target, I can shout back at them to give a grid. |

Guys, I don't want to ruin the fun, but I've yet to see a solution for the language problem, especially when more common languages are added through the community mods. Are you really suggesting to record new sounds? How? Who?

Spec_Operator, can you give us a direct translation into English from the German medic "Clear" samples, or whatever he says, just to get us started?
Have you heard the German medic in BF2? |

Yes, I have in OPK. If I remember correctly, he says "Zurück!" meaning "Back!". That would make no sense when clearing a room at all, it would even sound like a warning of some kind.
Edit: Just started it up to check again, and yes, it's "back". |

I actually like the idea, but it would only work out in english (and maybe in another language too, dunno) sadly.

Well, there's still many vBF2 sounds that aren't fully used. I originally had the idea of using a sample from the commanders voice for "A vehicle is on the way" and that sounds ok when other soldiers say it.
Isn't there a sample that says something like "Area secure" when you cap a flag, what about that? I can't remember exactly what he says. |

Hmm... The commander voice says stuff like "area secure" indeed. Dunno how usable that is - the messages are usually quite long too, "Position clear and under control, good work men!" I guess you could cut that to "Position clear-" but you'd have to do it with russian, arabic and chinese too of course.
