Would be a good idea, except the insurgents can just look on their map, or not seeing a blue name over their head. Then they would just get killed.

It's probably more effective to send a guy running around with an insurgent kit ^_^

Im sure the devs could always do a little moding to make them on the map.

Why not like this: the americans have a new limited kit: Informant. He dresses up like a civi. Has no weapons like a civi. IT IS A CIVI!! DONE!

Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple!

That is a really good idea. I wonder if the insurgents should be able to capture them

well because they can look in maps, give him civi stuff (unarmed medic stuff and rocks binocs etc)
so he can be used as a scout, he shouldn't get very close to insurgents but spot from far.

The current civvy is a target. This civvy would be a target that gets TKed. If anyone bothers to use it, that is.

When you see a civvy without a blue tag, and know the US can have one civvy on their team, guess what happens? INS stabs/shoots/squishes the civvy. This is a person who cant afford to be seen by the BLUFOR side, and who cant get close enough to the INS side to locate a cache.

Whats the point of this kit?

I would rather have limited civvies that cost the BLUFOR tickets when shot, and which give the INS tickets (ie, another cache to defend after a while) when shot. At least then you have to watch your fire. They would be easier to catch if they could not run, too. The intel system apparently plays no part in INS rounds, because nobody knows how much of it you have. Considering that, the intel bonus you get from knifing them is meaningless, you should regain tickets for knifing them.

I dont think a class that neither team wants to have dead is possible. The benefits will always go to one team, who will attempt to kill the people with that kit. If neither team really benefits, people still kill you. IRL, we dont kill civvies. It doesn't matter if they just threw a molotov, we dont kill them. Hence, BLUFOR has to be better off leaving them alone, at the expense of several lives if thats what it takes.

That does not matter AFAIK. I see no reason why it cant be done. You should start arguing that the officer kit cannot be limited to officers if it is a spawnable kit, because that seems to be pretty close to what you are claiming here.

XKCD forums, in the middle of a perfectly sane conversation:
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
Best post ever made!

EG: PPSh is made of win and quite possibly stamped sheet metal

Hann this is my suggestion not yours so dont say what it will have if i did not state it had the items you have said. He is not going to have a hand gun because hes going tnot going to blow his postion and even he did have a hand gun some ppl using the class might just go and use it like they are fighting like they would fight when being in an inf squad.

HAAN4 plz improve your english i could not understand you after the bit where you suggested the hand gun part.

The Insurgents would shoot him if he got close (no nme tag) or could just check their map and THEN shoot him.

Tbh I don't see the point as it's already easy enough to know where the caches are - it's where all the RPGs and PKMs are

The informant class could be also used to find where other enemys are and ieds are being planted and techincals are stationed.

I also said that the devs could try and mod it so they apper on insurgents map.
