Excuse me for hating stupid shitty assed flat screen LCDs. I'll take my higher refresh rates and 1600x1200 any day. Just because my monitor is probably older than you doesn't mean the PC hooked up to it is a POS as well. And hell yes I'll cheap out, it allows me to have more of this.... ![]()

Hey ugly, are you in the military or just an "enthusiast?"

Enthusiast, definitely. I'd have a sampling of just about everything you can imagine if it wasn't for California constantly trying to ban shit. First it was the AR15s, stocked up on those before 2000. Then as I was recovering from that they moved on making certain handguns harder to obtain which puts strains on my S&W collection. Then, after that they had the 50BMG ban going through and I had to scrape to get into the 50BMG game before the ban. Only wish I could of afforded 1-2 more 50BMG receivers to build up at a later date, several manufacturers including Armalite and Barrett were selling stripped receivers to register and then have built to full rifles at a later date. I compete in 3 gun, trying to get involved in F-class 1k yard shoots, and I've been a varminter for as long as I can remember(where the long range shooting fascination started). All of that aside though I'm a firm supporter of the 2nd Amendment and that there is nothing in it that mentions hunting or sport. Older picture from shortly after I had the 50 put together(stock was from a prior AR15 build). The 50 is 5 feet long and weighs 40 pounds. The accurized AR is my varmint rifle coming in at 4 feet long and 15 pounds unloaded. And then there's the carbine with M4 length barrel.

Those are three awsome rifles for sure. I used to shoot ground squirels for a cadle farmer in the sacremento valley. Show one at ~200M with a .338. Needless to say there was nothing to collect on that one for the bounty, lol. Good times. The rest of the time I just used my Marlin .22 with a fixed 9x cheapy optic.

I prefer 223 or other high velocity 22s, the fragile Vmax bullets launch squirrels all over hell and back. I've hit them and literally seen them fly close to 6 feet in the air and land upwards of 8-10 feet away from the point of impact. The 50BMG has hit a tweety bird at around 150-200 yards. First shot actually missed and the stupid bird just sat there looking around kind of bewildered. Didn't rustle a single feather or flinch. 2nd shot I aimed about 2 inches low and center punched it, there was a lot more left than if I had used my 223Rem and a 40grn Vmax. Last year up in the high desert I was shooting jacks with my accurized AR15 and I nailed a jack at about 80 yards, the bullet entered through the front and expanded so violently that it detached part of the rear leg and sent it up range about 5 feet. | |

Nice to see another gun owner here. What press do you have to load the ammo? RCBS, Lee, Hornady, Dillon?
