Hi, Hex. The McMillan M87-R is no longer made, at least not exactly the way it was and with that model number; it was manufactured before Harris Gunworks bought out McMillan, and subsequently went out of business. However, the SEALs did use a relative of it, the McMillan M88.

Naval Special Warfare (SEALs / SWCC / SDV) and Special Operations (EOD / Mine Countermeasures) now use the Mk-15, which is also called the Product Improved M88. It's basically the McMillan Tac-50, the same rifle made famous by the Canadian sniper team from 3 PPCLI, with NSW's choice of optics.

Malik- the USMC actually uses a slightly different model which they call the M82A3. The Army uses the M107, which is also an improved M82. Interestingly enough it was the M95 that emerged as the winner of the XM107 trials, but the Army changed the requirements afterwards.

As I've said before, though, not every weapon or vehicle is going to have an exact equivalent on every team. If every weapon was a clone of another weapon, it would not be an exciting game or realistic.

Is it just me or does it seem like every branch execpt the Army has the really small looking .50BMG's

That one looks like a rifle

And this one doesn't look beefy enough to fire a .50 round let alone those russian and chinese ones. I realize that they are the realistic rifles just look kinda wimpy to me.

Why is it every .50 sniper rifle other then the M95 and deriavtes thereof look like really wimpy regualr sniper rifles.

We should add this as the new USMC anti-material rifle.

It's made by Accuracy International, so really it's a British Rifle. Only the SEALs use it at the moment I believe, but if a war situation was to arise I'd say it'd be more likely the UK would use it.

Its not the size of the boat, its the motion in the bullet

you guys should consider tryin it out. just a suggestion would be cool not too difficult to model since it has similar characteristics as the m24. Yea the Tac .50 is what it is currently known as but it doesnt sound as kool as m87 R

From what I know though, the M107 has so much recoil, it makes it almost impossible to use in a semi-automatic manner.
You shouldn't need to pull 3 shots per second with that rifle.

The UK uses two rifles at the moment, the AW-50F and the Barrett M82A1M. I have only seen the AW-50F referenced with EOD units, though, so not sure if the infantry units have access to it as well. The L115A1 certainly fills the bill for long-range anti-personnel sniping, but doesn't have the punch of the .50 against harder targets.

I think that if the class system is worked out the sniper should have the anti-material option as well as the anti-infantry option have to work out some way to stop people from using the anti-material rifle on people instead of viechles and the like though.
