I think Insurgent using tracers is killing how Insurgents should play.
I suggest removing of all Tracer round from Insurgent weapon including 50 cal. If Insurgent should play like they are intended to be, having tracer forces this faction to play or be spotted like other faction. It should be removed for 'gameplay reason' also. |

I agree sort of. I don't really know. I think the idea of removing tracers from the .50 could be alright. For example on Ramiel if you are in the Littlebird and you start getting shot at by a .50 it is almost to easy to track down the technical firing at you and take him out. The game should reward the person in the technical for getting into a good position to fire, and forcing the Littlebird to flee instead of stay and fight. Then again it may make technicals to hard to track down.

tracers arn't something that must be in a weapon, i doubt in a real life situation any combatant would WANT tracers in his/her weapon. so insurgents would most likely not use them.

Yeah tracers are normally used to help indicate where enemy are.

Ask one of the numerous RL combatants here who've been to Iraq - Did the insurgent munititions have tracers much?

I remember watching a video about US Green Berets in Afghanistan. Talking about a fire fight, the convo went something like this.
"I started to return fire, and began taking a lot of returning fire. I was very surprised, since normally the Taliban aren't that accurate, or return fire that fast. I fire a few more shots, than checked my mag. I had loaded mostly with tracers to show the Northern Alliance guys were to fire. Tracers were a bad f***ing idea." Any way, slightly off topic. It would make sense to remove tracers from INS. I wouldn't say take the tracers off the .50 how ever the small arm weapons shouldn't have tracers. At least not as many. |

Oh talk about a old debate here.
I do not think you can remove tracers for one faction reading up about the ballistics you can have tracers for all guns or none at all and ballistic wont work well with tracers. I think tracers should be removed for all factions and add in the ballistics ! |
