Yes, it's not meant to work, it's a clickdummy, meant to show the design

Anyway, as you can see, there's no "news". This is because I feel that there's no point having news in the launcher, when there is a news ticker ingame in the main menu (in the next version of PR anyway). People would spend more of their time in the main menu than the launcher (some might even just not use the launcher), so the news would get to more people in the ingame menu.

A tutorial page/video thing might be interesting, but, it's meant to be a launcher, just a relatively simple program for people to click on a button and the program gets them to where they want to be fast and easy. The wiki link might be easier with the videos linked there?

For things needing to be installed to the default place, that's not needed, that's what the registry is for.

Anywho, that's what I'm thinking. But you don't need to listen to me if you don't want to, I'm just another guy with another opinion .

Also, before you start getting in and coding this, just hold off for a bit, I want to talk to a couple of people first about it.

/sidenote to some replys in this thread, splash screen is in the next version


What you could do is have Mumble load (and put you in the PR server) automatically.. and MAYBE some how integrate the mumble window into the main menu.... so before you go into a server you could switch channels... =D

Click on laucnh mumble in the flash dummy, it connects you to the mumble server automatically.

I think the PR mumble version assigns you to the correct sub as well. Putting it in game would prob violate PB, mayby EAUA, plus it is not needed, as it would be automatic process.

Many PR uses load up many apps, plus it makes it easier for uses to change launch settings quickly, easily for anyone, as some people dont know how. It also could form as a bug fixer if wanted, and put the guide in a easily findable spot ect.

I have another littel nifty app it's called BF2 hitfixer it runns with auto hotkey maby this could be incorperated but I don't know if it will be needed with the new patch coming out but it helps alot with hit detection so maby people might want that as well.
