This isn't the first time someone has asked for the harrier to be fixed. Its on TRAINING MODE, and its not in an ACTUAL MODE. So why are you even going near it?
I wasnt talking about the harrier in particular, but training mode in general as it seemed like you deemed it a waste of time.

Well it is. The only thing you can do is fly against yourself and learn how to move your thumb 2 cm to hit the pickle button on your joystick. What practice does lasing involve?

In the Project Reality Tournament we had to make our OWN TRAINING MAP, where we could actually include opfor. You can't practice air combat, it isn't anything like an actual round of Kashan, so why bother with it? Just start a local server. The whole point of a dedicated server is to let people play together, so why remove the ability for them to engage?

There is nothing in training mode you can't learn from starting your own local server.

I agree that kashan training could be improved a lot. However if I were to start my own local server with a regular map, I'd have all the limitations of a regular map. For example I'd have to wait 1minute+ everytime I screw up and crash a chopper into a building while trying to land and I have to wait for vehicle respawns or restart the map when I run out of assets.
Also the different vehicles arent as readily available on 1 map like they are on kashan training. To try out the different combat choppers I'd have to map a few different maps, wasting a lot of time loading.
All in all training is good, but can be improved a lot (like air assets for MEC on kashan training).

Hey guys, thanks for the positive comments. I really didn't realize it was over 9,000 words (meant words, but wrote characters cause I was half asleep. =P), . Although... I did leave out one or two additional thoughts. Maybe I'll add them in the future.

<Note: They were in reference to Combat Engineers. Thinking about increasing the available kits to 3-4 and reducing the request time to 1 minute or so. This is so Engineers can continue their work uninterrupted... But I haven't played in some time, so I don't know if they've been abused lately with C4 etc. while I was gone. I simply don't know till I spend a few rounds to see for myself.>

Anyways don't worry too much about the Harrier CAS_117. It's allright, really. I have a tendency to take a handful of things from previous builds and roll them over into the next list and so on and so forth. I've changed my approach (at least for now) to be a passive one. If any of these ideas suit PR, than that's fantastic. If not, that's fine too. I figured I'd also offer some suggestions to the next guy (if there is anyone who's taken up the aircraft department) to pass the torch along to them.

The most important thing to me is to just get those ideas out there in hopes to stir a successful and practical change to PR.

Take the Blue Pill or take the Red Pill?

Laser Guided/Dumb Bombs fitted on jet aircraft for the MEC and PLA team require a suitable animation upon explosion. Currently it seems to be a very generic and incomplete puff of smoke. This animation is no where as impressive as the smoke/dust generated when a Paveway 2 LGB explodes that is outfitted on American and British jet aircraft.
I really like this one. The bombs are so weak it's not even worth the ticket loss that comes with jets. I can barely even see the bombs when they explode too. It is as visible as a hand grenade explosion.

Had a lot of problems with these bombs detonating too. Was playing in a J-10 fighter the other day providing air cover and dropping bombs on lased targets. My squad leader said that 3 out of 4 bombs did not detonate at all when they landed on his lased targets. This does not have to do with height. I have played with the eurofighter too and these bombs always detonate whenever they hit the ground regardless of height. A much better visual explosion too. Can actually see the explosion when I press C. Not the case with the J-10 though.

It's a good list, no real quelms with any of them. Though the supply drop is a bit of an iffie for me. I wouldn't mind seeing it implemented, necessarily, though only as a longer spawned asset. When you say joining 4 crates to one parachute, why not just spawn three/four separate crates over the general area? would make a whole lot more sense to me than having to destroy them all, and gives the additional need to find where they've all dropped

CAS, this stops now.

No more talking shit about the gameplay decisions made by the development team. If you have suggestions on exactly what should be done with aircraft and AA assets in PR then write up a detailed proposal and either post it publicly or on private forums.

Being suggestive is a good thing, being critical is a good thing. You should learn how to be both without sprinkling sarcasm and indirect personal attacks everywhere.
