Yeah I must say I kind of like the idea of removing the individual aspect of the scores to leave only the team part (in this case on a squad per squad basis) This would also help guide people to contribute more to the squad they are in rather then jump squads solely for their own benefit (spawn point, kit access, whatever)

An other thing which could help is to have a wider input of best "defenders", "support" and the likes rather then just top squad from multiple type of points.

I've played numerous times in squads which concentrate on defending that flag which all to often is left to rot by those who just respawned too many times to take it. In the end we don't get much kills, usually have a lot of time to spare but without them the "l33t" squads would just look stupid all huddled around a now uncappable ex-next flag

Or the insurgent squad who goes around building spawn points.

Or the dedicated trucker crew who supply the front lines with ammo and firebase construction possibilities.

Keep the ideas flowing guys

The only acceptable 'Lone Wolf' you'll be allowed to play :

I agree too! Lets have a list of what scores the individual squads had at the end of the round, their names, the total score of the squad, and the K/D ratio of the entire squad listed below the names.

If this were to be done id be very happy, and it would definatly make people stop playing for killing! You murdrers:P

No, but i can imagine a player fresh from BF2, comes to play PR, and constantly keeps looking at his KDR, and there is none, and he cant see his own score, and he is like WTF!

I like it!

Instead of stopping people from being able to see how many enemies they have killed and contributed to the team, maybe give more incentives towards teamwork, i.e more points for repairing vehicles at main etc.
This is what i aimed at. Probably its the best if you remove the teamwork points you get for killing enemies.

This is not going to stop people 'playing for kills', people will just play the same and will still look for their K/D at the end of the round.
I dont want to let them see their or my kill count at the end.

I play because I enjoy the game and the teamwork that comes with it however I do like to look at my K/D ratio at the end of the match to see how well I have actually done in reducing tickets etc.

If you don't like it don't look at it.

Oh and scores are there to motivate people to work as a team.

It might be unfathomable for active community members but nearly all new players are motivated solely into certain acts by the score it gives. Best way to get a pubbie squad to work together is to inform them that they get more score when they are fighting with their SL.

When ever you make a post the thread becomes awesome NickO, but that is beside the point.

I would like to see tickets "lost" and "won" instead of "death" and "kills" ...

keep it, helps identify kills, the devs have already taken away the thing that says you've killed them.

How on earth do you expect people to know how well they are shooting with no kill indicator? Every time there's an update, the whole game dynamics change, and not everyone can mess around on a training server / in training mode practising their shooting. It's hard enough as it is, if you remove this I guarantee that you'll see so many more noobs spray-and-praying because they have no way to know that they're missing everything. ATM I'm still getting used to this version, and it's only watching the scoreboard after a firefight that lets me go "Oh, good, my supressing fire WAS accurate enough to kill someone over there, it wasn't just a waste of bullets" rather than "well, I'm never covering anyone ever again, I don't know if it even did anything..."
