Default Add a current position counter to the HUD. (also change compass)

Just a small suggestion: could you have a current position indicator near the compass so we don't have to bring up the map everytime we want to say where an enemy is/where the pilot should pick us up?

I was roaming in a technical before when i had to bring up the map to figure out how to tell our squadleader where the enemy we just drove past was. Not the smartest thing to do as a driver.

Could look like
As in: D7 5 or D6,4 or D2KP2?

Also, would't it be better to have the compass touch the coordinate markers instead of the numbers?
As in:
\/ Pointer thing
||||||||| Cordinate markers
N 15

Instead of the current
\/ Pointer thing
N 15
||||||||| Cordinate markers

What do you guys think?

No thanks, the more stuff that gets added to the H.U.D, the more unrealistic it becomes. What's unrealistic about using a map to see where you are rather than a magic floating number stuck to your eye?

I kind of agree with this, despite the compass being a tad unrealistic. This would help you use the compass accurately but the current usage of the compass isn't exactly true to real life.

I just see it as knowing your current position, something we should expect a military unit to do, but not maybe some pubbies in a game.

Im all for making a game realistic, i just think realism has it's limits and sometimes you have to simulate the things throught no realistic means, otherwise you get a great boring mess which does not even play realistic, just has realistic features.

Such as if you neede a loader in every tank...
