Default Get rid of kill counter

Well, players may be "hardcoded", but I bet we can alter player behaviour by not giving them a stupid little kill count to obsess about maxing out..

So my suggestion would be to get rid of the kill counter entirely.

Good one, you got this idea from RnL?

+1, You benefit in reality (you have to make sure he's dead) and players arent showing off their leet kills wits snipzorz... Only shown at the end of the round as now not during the round.

I would like it to be replaced with a 'ticket' counter, so you know how many tickets you've taken from the enemy (vehicles destroyed etc)

I like to know how well I've done

Hmm interesting idea I actually quite like it, even though its always nice to know how you are doing... Perhaps could still display the final scoreboard with kills etc at the end?

Not sure if this might be hardcoded or not though...

1 +

You shouldnt be able to see it in-game, only when the next map is loading and you see the scores.

Not even at the end of the round, because that would still make people focus narrowly on making that little number go up, up up... numbers in games make the players obsessed, just as the levelling grind for example.

It leads to many players locking themselves in one style of exploitive play, such as the sniping kit (get rid of that one too... lets have some tactical firefights instead of getting shot from beyond visible range repeatedly just to make some 12 year old's little ego a stiffening)

Is your team winning? Are you helping out? Then you're doing great.
