What the heck are you talking about? First of all, weapons with iron sights have the same accuracy as scoped ones in PR.
But iron sights are already useless enough at anything but room clearance because while you, having a scoped weapon, can see, identify and aim at the enemy, your enemy with iron sights cannot even aim properly because all he can see is 3 pixels. You don't get that IRL.

Iron sights in a computer game like PR will make more sense in about 2020 when everybody will be playing on 50" 1080p displays.

They are thinner AFAIK, the ACOG chevron in PR is quite wide, and somewhat darker.

I'd get an M4 Ironsights over those scoped tacticool weapons anytime.

As for aiming, it's fairly easy. You need to adjust yourself to a more patient gameplay and less stressed one than COD4. It's all about predicting the possible outcomes and making sure your shot will kill.

I always get the feeling that the devs want pr to be a "sniper game", because in actuality it is very hard to hit targets from the standing position in PR. If you're going to shoot accurately, get prone, otherwise you won't hit anything beyond 100 meters, unless you get lucky.
