I want to agree with this idea, but it would make teamwork very very much harder in public games than it is now.
Already now trying to get people to move or stay at a marker is hard (yes, once again - the players), even when I rule my squad with an iron fist. In worst cases it would lead to lonewolfing - due to loners taking advantage of the SL's inability to see where his squadmembers are located, one could simply take a sniper rifle and run away sniping, claiming he is on his way to regroup, for example. Just my thoughts, my apologies if you find this post unneccesary. All the best, Viki |

The idea is to remove the all-seeing-eye from the regular grunts. And keep it in the hands of the people making important decisions. (Squad leaders and commanders) So the squad leader would be able to look at where his sniper is going, and tell him to regroup, or kick him or take whatever action is needed.

I fully support this idea. The question is where the devs draw the line between too videogame-like and too realistic. I personally say - take it to the extreme. There's not many other games which tries to simulate realistic combat out there so I rather see PR lean towards to "too realistic" than anything else.

-I would love to try out a game with absolutely no markers, at all. Not for SLs or COs either, just to see how that'd work(Not as a suggestion for PR but kind of like an event

Read the OP, Removing the map which magically transmits all player positions in real time = Unrealistic, replacing it with one that doesn't, is.
I do have one question, though. Is it possible to make the map that's brought up when pressing "m" only brought up when you have a weapon selected? |

But the former is playable while the latter is not. Forumers will say its playable but the majority (which may I add is not viewing the forums on a regular base and have less than 1 post) will say otherwise
