I cannot believe all this negative talk about not wanting to buy a game... you know nothing about it yet, not a screenshot has been posted and all people care about is money, just lol.

And to those worried about paying for it... well go play PR1 when the time comes. PR1 will remain a MOD which is free, PR2 will be a GAME which will have mods of its own one day (if we pull it off)...

can someone tell me about PR2?

I dont quite understand...

So there will be date when PR will be a full game to buy with a new engine or what? Is there a date already planned?

Heheh, I also find it funny that all people are talking about is money. Nothing has been decided yet, it might be subscription based, it might be a £30 purchase, or by the time it comes out we might have discovered Searl was speaking the truth and all have free power and love and see no need for money in the world.


When we've made the game is the time to think about how much it costs....

Except for Spunge. You will have to pay $100 a month to play. Maybe even $1000. And no custom weapons for you, no fastropes either, your only bonus will be that I'm going to make a special yellow jumpsuit with 'TeamKill me pls' written all over it just for you.

yeah...i dont understand all the negativity here. this thread has me excited as hell! i have full confidence in these devs and will be following them wherever they go, regardless of price point.

some of the posts lately in this thread have even made me angry...i cannot imagine how pissed i would be if i were a dev reading some of this stuff. dont listen to the naysayers! keep up the awesome work, guys.

and thanks for making PR as good as it is. i have played your mod about 2000 hours, which probably makes it my most played game of all time. that's a lot of value...

I imagine Gaurd502 that support for "Vanilla" (for want of a better word) Project Reality will slowly be phased out as the Dev's but the hard work and time into PR2, its membership will diminish over time as will the amount of servers that are hosted. Their will probably be the die hard that remain, and those that dislike change but for the most part the ability to get a good game on PRV will slowly dwindle, as the people playing PR2 increases rapidly.
This is just a presumption though. So in answer while their will still be fun to be had with PRV it will be limited, but will bring back those oh so precious memories. While over in Pr2 their should be more chance for a good game.
I could and probably am completely wrong, only time will tell.

I'm pretty sure PR2 will be more fun to play because it's new and the devs own work completely.

People must stop the thinking of money all the time PR is the game i have played the most and is on comparison with classics like mario64 and zelda oot. If pr2 has the same gameplay base i will gladly pay people are cheap asses that always seem to think of things on the net as free. Hell i am looking forward to the realease.
