Im pretty sure that the stormer can be an anti tank too. At least thats what Im told.

As far as anti air is concerned in PR, the blast radius is exaggerated by 50%. This is to make up for the lack of proportional pursuit, which exist is updated versions of the Frosbite engine (ie 2142). While the speed of missiles is at the realistic mach 2-4 margin, the fixed wing aircraft are not. Again this inconsistency is to make up for the lack of proportional pursuit in the missiles. Lastly, the turn rate of missiles is about 3-4 times of its real life counterparts to again, make up for the lack of proportional pursuit missiles.

The starstreak actually fires 3 darts at its target and each of these is guided by the gunner himself using a SACLOS system. The missile itself does not see the target, just the reflected laser.

PR's attack helos fire laser guided missiles too, and those aren't passively guided like the Stormer is.

Starstreak Muli-role missile

Now my point is that there are several things you should be thankful are not represented in PR at this time in regards to the starstreak.

1. Its missiles can still be spoofed by flares. In reality this is not the case.

2. Its missiles can target anything it sees. Since the cold war ended, for most projects to get funding, they must be capable of a variety of roles (see F-22A). Valid targets include dismounted infantry and yes, tanks.

3. It is rated to penetrate 3 feet of armor (RHA I'm guessing). About the same as a tow missile. Currently it uses the same material as a hydra, which is not exactly the same thing.

Complaining about your T-Nintey-whatever getting killed by a stormer in PR is like an infantryman complaining about getting killed by a 6 year old armed with plastic cutlery. Try looking somewhere other than straight ahead next time.

I don't really see how that applies as it wouldn't matter in reality anyways, it would just blow up once its 30m away. Like if a missile flies above, below, or beside you it will still direct the blast that way.

*sigh.

What people don't get is that you aren't trying to escape a point in space, but an area in space that is moving towards you. People complain about missiles still hitting them when they drop flares, but do they mix evasion with countermeasures? Not usually.

Little hint: Best place to get shot at is from the front. Once you see the missile drop a flare and break left or right. Ideally, the missile should be perpendicular to your flight path. You don't really even need flares then.
