Kinda got this idea from looking at this pic that Codered posted in the DEV journals section.
![]() If you look at the bottom of the razor wire, you will see that it doesnt match the ground at all. So i was thinking, would it be possible to remove that from the model so the model would look more real? To prevent it from floating above the ground you could remove the colision mesh from the lower part of the razorwire so it would sink into the ground once placed. Or something like that Yay or nay? |

Nay. Maybe have a prettier texture (kinda like the brown near the road, that'd fit anywhere and looks less... grey...), but removing it wouldnt be worth the glitching. That counts for any deployable. Those simply need that, otherwise they will certainly be used in a ... wrong way or will be ineffective (in case of the wire), stuck in the ground or not reachable, because floating.
I'm gonna say nay on this. It'd look prettier without, but would perform worse. |

if you put it on an angled slope it would float in the air and would look stupid

Dont forget that this is a wip and is probably going to have a better texture.

It looks like clay, perhaps of the type that you would find if you dug in the ground under the top soil.

The base piles of dirt are there because the devs haven't figured any other way to make the objects fit on any terrain without floating up. If they could sink it into the ground there would be no problem in the first place.
I say paint the base in ACUPAT. Cause, as we all know, ACU fits EVERYWHERE! |
