well it was used til the 80's when the M113(at the same time the M113 was also being supposed to be replaced but production hasn't ceased yet) and Hmmv and Bradley(bradley is an IFV as you all know) replaced it and the IDF use them even today quite a bit especially as a Self Propelled Mortar Platform and for all sorts of jobs and the M113 is still in use by the US armed forces as far as i know, it was seen in live footage of DS and Iraqi Freedom (one very old tank that might be used is the Centurion from the UK for Rebel forces)

we got the american LAV-25 and Stryker the Russian BTR-90 and BMP's so why not this, i mean it's not like the worlds best MBT, it trades of armour for speed and it's special trait. the PT-76 can be destroyed or heavily damaged by even LAT's like M136, RPG-7, and the Chinese own PF-89 and is surely a goner if you use HAT Scenario, you are in the Czech rebels and you need a fast and still powerful Transport vehicle and this one is both and with the ability to swim you can attack the enemy where they least expect it wich makes the tank somewhat less vulnerable | |

or find something else to prove chechens had spandrels and/or PT-76 the whole point of militia/taliban/insurgents is to fight in unconventional style and defeat blufor vehicles in asymmetric way, the fact that opposing side have tanks doesnt mean you have to add tanks to other side Quote:

wut? thought the insurgents already had a tank?
![]() jk, but seriously, if you play insurgents/taliban long enough and good enough, you will realize that the insurgents are almost unstoppable... out of every 10 ins games-about 7 we win. Just need good coordination and dictate what the enemy's reaction. Most games end up as INS/tali outright attacking the blufor due to the noobs that populate the blufor mostly. Plus much more fun playing as INS/Tali |

Czechs is kinda more well equipped than Ins and Talibans, Especially Iraqi Milita
The Czech Rebels are paramilitary so they should be able to boast some few armored vehicles like the PT-76 (drove this vehicle in Battlefield Vietnam and i loved it and still do so don't talk shit about it, tough it didn't was able to take on a Patton head on unless a n00b drove it) the PT-76 would in PR be more of a sneak attack, ambush,Heavy duty recon, improvised PBR, and suits quite well in Guerilla warfare as i've said to other colleauges it's a tank mostly fitted today for attacking flanks and rear flanks of the enemy's formation and support friendly troops, it's not heavy it's not too hard to kill, it's not Uberpowerful so why shouldn't it be in? (some 12.000 of this vehicles has been produced overall officially and 2/12's or 2.000 units has been exported to other countries) we got quite abit of old vehicles inside this mod already so why shouldn't the PT-76 OR the M113 for that matter(i loved this APC in Battlefield Vietnam) if you checked the news on US wars(starting from Vietnam war and on) and Coalition conflicts ther's allways an M113 there what i want to finally say is newer isn't allways the best, old vehicles can still perform their job just as good as the newer ones an APC is just an armored transport to protect the passengers to get from Point A to point B to point R&R^^ the Israeli still uses the M3 Halftrack(specially the mortar version)and the M113, wich is still being used in some armies today including US Army and USMC.......didn't know that huh? |

I understand you want those old wrecks to be in PR, but seriously, Insurgents and Talibans will defo not have a tank. Neither any of this hardware you keep suggesting.

Zordja a centurion would not be commonly used, the only real working versions are private collectors who spent millions restoring them, and the parts for them are ridiculously rare.

okay then well just for sports her's a german tank wich is very weird (don't put it in PR though devs, just for show)
it's called the Kampfpanzer 3 ![]() it has two 120mm Rheinmetall guns the 120mm Rheinmetall gun is used in tanks such as the M1A1 Abrams(known as the M256), Leopard 2 series, K1A1 (korean MBT known as the KM256 and in the Japanese Type 90 MBT (got the same name as the german Rheinmetall 120-millimeter (4.7 in) L/44) also a little note, the British Army has tested Rheinmetall's longer gun(both has the same calibre of 120mm), possibly looking to replace the current L30A1 (4.7 in) rifled main gun on the Challenger 2, sofar it's not final Whether the british gun will stay or be replaced. |

I don't think you'll get your way by just namedropping a bunch of old artefacts in this thread. There's a ton of veichles and weapons that would be cool to have in PR. Tell us why your sugesstion should be implemented.... and it shouldn't be because there is a remote chance that somewhere at some time someone might have used this or that tank in combat.
I'd rather see the devs spend their time on other veichles, like the cougar or maybe humvees with CROW system. |
