Yeah the insurgents seem too 'generic' to me in .8
I'd very much like to see the return of the war veteran class, and the removal of the basic insurgent with AK + RKG. Playing as a civvy in .8 is ridiculous now because of the excessively long spawn time when you get killed. That shit needs to be scaled back drastically. I agree wholeheartedly about the militia changes. I very much wish we still had the old militia setup with very few limited kits (pilot, crewman, officer), but a good amount of pickup kits. I thought that they were damn near perfect in the previous versions. |

now sure its annoying when some kid just wants a good weapon with his favorite kit, but some of these posts actually have a point, some of these people actually want things the way they do because it was better for everyone. anywho i have to agree about the insurgents and militia going back to it's 0.6 forms, i aswell found it much more practical and entertaining that way. back then when i was squadleader for militia (although i never really thought the drugunov was necesary or realistic for a squadleader, i could use it to check on things at distance without needing to switch to binocs, i could sit back and give live intel to my troops when we needed to retake the towers. i used to sit back and watch and tell them of troops in what window, which doorway, and if needed pull a few shots to keep the brits's heads down. Insurgency now is also annoying, i really couldnt do anything. it was mostly the lagg, but even without the lagg it seemed as though unless i was 10 meters or less away from the guy firing at full auto i couldnt hit anything. aswell they say insurgents are suposed to ambush and use the terrain to their advantage, well in game you have no home field advantage, so the insurgents need some other advantage, at this point unless the map was rebuilt everytime and everyone on the insurgent team had a week to play it before anyone else, there is no advantage what so ever for the insurgent team. | |

What ever you do please keep the binocular for insurgents. If you think giving same grade binoc for insurgent is unfair give them binoc that gives zoom of only about Marksman rifle scope does. The reason for insurgent having binocular is not so much to better equip them, but since this is a Video Game you see things in Pixels. Which give unrealistic disadvantage if target is far away and you don't have the zoom screen option.

@Fish Agreed. War Vet was my favorite Insurgent spawn kit. That Smoke and Field Dress were extremely useful in many situations.

I absolutely agree with the thread author in ALL points. Stop "standardizing" stuff. Militia and Insurgents are chaotic, and that's what makes their strenght.

Insurgency is wierd now with the shovel...i would say that the "mortar" thing is kind of good..but too strong i think..it would be better if "they" make a mortar-vehicle...like this toyotacar with grenadelauncher on it which looks like mortar..but works like grenadelauncher.. lol

I completely agree with the threadmaker on basically every point. Insurgents shouldn't be equiped with binocs or shovels (collaborateurs should build their hideouts, simulating that the civilian player is "lending" his basement or something similar to help the jihadis) and the RKG-3 should be limited to the ambusher kit. Bring back the ammo bags or find another solution to the rearming-problem so that insurgents can go back to the old (realistic) ammo-amount of 4 extra mags.
Although I think the Militia is pretty much fine as they are now I think they should rely on pickup kits and not be able to request anything. |

i agree whit threadmaker on all points
eccept that militia shouldnt request kits anymore. its much more flexibly and usefull to be able to request a kit instead of walking all the way back to main when you forgott something. all other milita points oF TM are 100% supportet by me. |
