Seen as though the sights on the rifles are zeroed, I don't think you should have wait time before you get a straight shot off.
On 0.6 the bullet traveled true to the sights every time perfectly, this was good! but I could get head shots from 200m+ every time almost on stationary targets. The Problem now in game is you gotta *WAIT* to get a clean shot off, and thats not a good thing. Even 99% when you do wait, you still miss even when perfectly lined up!!!. I think the best way to counter it being too easy, and also getting rid of the bullet deviation time is to add weapon sway!. When you shoot, no matter how fast! the bullet should stay true the the sights! With recoil as well, It makes lining up targets much more fun and lifelike! Weapon sway would be the part you contend with instead of bullets deviating all the time all over the place even when you've taken the time to line up properly. The weapon sway should be directly linked to your characters STANCE and STAMINA. Example: A person who has just sprinted 100m, spotted an enemy and is aiming at that enemy through their susat sight while stood up, would have a Hell of a lot of sway to contend with!, the sights would be jumping around all over the place!. Where as a person prone with full stamina would have the smallest amount of sway, talking like 1mm on screen! I think that would be a better way to go to be honest so in a nutshell 1. Where you aim the bullet will go!. 2. Bullet drop is fine, part of real life. 3. The fact your weapon will sway is hard enough to contend with and could be the solution to do away with the stupid wait time, that even when you wait, someone else is firing repetitiously and hits every time!. 4. I don't just mean this for snipers and susat but iron sights should sway also. Please leave comments guys as I would like others views on this |

And i know you guys say its not possible, BUT IF A GUN CAN RECOIL ABOUT, the sway can be programmed that way.

Dude, there was a post about this today search first, it can't be don't as the engine wont allow it. and laser accurate shots are not realistic and since this is Project Reality you have to keep the real factor.

I think the ONLY way its fairly possible is to animate EVERY single stance of EVERY single gun to sway while stationary, AND youd have to change the sway on stance, so we're talking 3 animations PER GUN. Not to mention, Im pretty sure you cant have animation alter based on stamina left like OFP, though it WOULD be great. All that is a pretty huge undertaking... and Im not even sure if animations while stationary are possible...
Though let me say right now, Im no authority on this, I just recall something along those lines... http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f18-...ggestions.html Locked for resuggest, please search, its been mentioned many many times before |

the only problem with deviation is a lack of animation showing the scope wiggling about as you settle your sights.
so you're aiming one point but the "real" aim is still focusing in. Aiming a gun in real life is a lot more difficult than pushing a mouse that wieghs less than a fart with one hand. dive to the floor with webbing and rifle in hand, feel those stones dig into your elbows and see if you can Click and drag instantly onto someones head, nein. Aiming system is goodish atm (tweaks for 0.8 hopefully yay Try breathing when you take your shots as you do irl you find that the time it takes to breath in and exhale halfway is about right to settle your sight, just imagine it wiggling about till you do |

Locked for resuggest. Basically everything you mentioned in the first post has been said to a 't' in previous threads. Its not that we dont want it or need it or anything of the sort... its just not terribly easily possible and whatnot blah blah.
