While patrol boats would be nice, I would rather see more amphibious vehicles made to fill out that need first.

This has only been slightly suggested and discussed, what I think is a good place for improvement is the naval vessels and combat on water.

Now I am not talking about putting in submarines and destroyers, BF2:PR is way to small for that. What I think should be looked into is the chance of having missile boats on some water maps, or which could open up the possibility of having new water maps.

These are examples of "small" missile boats used by the Chinese, Finnish and German Navy.

Tiger class fast attack craft - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

2 Mec boats?

Old Russian missile boat, maybe for militia forces:

A new boat for insurgents/militia would also be nice, as it would give the game a little more unique feeling.

Now the deciding part is of course done by the DEV team, which boats to use and not use and so on, what I want to be discussed is the chance of having more naval combat in PR.

hmmmm doesn't sound like a bad idea.... although really is lost on PR maybe PR2 or even ArmA2 could take on this kind of thing.

What about a PR sized map, confined into an Aircraft Carrier?

One team spawns on the flight deck and the other at various points inside the boat.

That would be nuts. One big "building" that looks like a CVN in some water, set up inside with as many "rooms" as a Carrier has in RL.

Though, I think people would be lost for the whole round as soon as they took a wrong turn.
