Default Solutions to players teamkilling and destroying base-assets.

...

1. People should be kicked when they've destroyed too many friendly base- assets. Jets being an exeption. Right now, people can destroy as many friendly assets as they like.


2. Friendly rallypoints should not be able to be destroyed by friendlies. Anyone can sneak up to your team's rallypoint and take it down.


3. Tanks and APC's should NOT be able to be gunned with a single man. AT ALL! It would still be drivable with 1 person.


4. Show the amount of assets destroyed and teamkills by the person who gets voted to be kicked.


5. Squadleader-bonuses ( when squadleader is near), to improve teamplay, like:

- Running faster.
- Reloading faster.
- more accuracy.
- Shooting faster ( For Tanks/APC'S)

6. Give the ability to show all the IP's of all the players through a console command.

1) Agree, surely python can do this without counting demolition as friendly fire

4) the admin can see the logs
5) Hell no, how is that realistic?! this isn't wow with taruen chieften (lvl 10!)

1- Whats why playing on servers that are Admined effectivly is best.Admins will quickley remove such fools.

2-Thats a tricky one,and I'm not sure there is a way to code it in,but perhaps something like the "shot as traitor " system used on Albas for the weapons caches?.

3-Another one for the Admins on the servers to kick/ban for.And For other players to discourage,But I have a feeling it will not longer be an issue in 0.8 (the gunner glitch that is fingers crossed),atm you have to be in a squad to use armour etc..but extending that to Hummvees and Jeeps as well?..(if thats what you meant).

4-Some sort of negative score system?,And Admins with BF2CC can see the teamkills and T/K punishes,we have our autokick set on 3 punished T/K's.

5-Interesting idea but can it be done ,and if so would it be worth the effort?

6-Admins with BF2CC can see the IP's and Hashes of all players,I don't know how you would make available thru the console or if it would serve much purpose.

Just my thoughts on these things..feel free to not agree/correct me...

Yes, they should.

2. Friendly rallypoints should not be able to be destroyed by friendlies.
The "shot as traidor" idea isnt even that bad. Though i wouldnt want them being undestroyable by friendly knifes, if you ever have a reason to destroy them, it should be possible. (SL is down, so no new one can be placed. Enemy is coming and will discover the rest of the squad when they see the rally. Since shots are to loud rally has to be knifed... or... so... its 3:30 in the night, dont expect a good example here :P - just noticed that they would see the body of the "traidor". Maybe traidors should only be killed after two destroyed rallys in say 10 minutes)

3. Tanks and APC's should NOT be able to be single-manned. AT ALL!
Disagree. They should not be able to FIRE when not manned, but one crewman should be able to move the tank out of a hot zone when the gunner disconnected or so.

4. Show the amount of assets destroyed and teamkills
Maybe

6. Give the ability to show all the IP's of all the players through a console command.
I've never been BF2 server admin, but i used to have such a command in other games. Dunno if its possible or needed.

1. True, but also should be used for the Heli's as well..

2. Not realistic. =/


3. But sometimes the tanks/APC's are being taken out to regroup with a gunner in the middle of nowhere


4. Yes. Win forever. "Kick smacktard 1 (4 TKs, 10 Destroyed Assets) Page up spam. But TBH, on good servers, we have admins for that.


5. Works out in real life-morality bonuses.

6. Invasion of privacy. Wont happen =/

3. Agree 110%!! Wayyy too many solo armor out there.

4. Why not

5. Loving it, but any bonuses should be very small. People could also be a lil less affected by supressive fire. And it does simulate the moral bonus.

6. No way, security reason.

3.)i was going to agree...untill i read about spec_operators sugestion....but will that be possible...i bet some one will find a loop and find a way too single seat

No, they don't stick 1 m next to their SL like sheep and get taken out by a grenade altogether.

Also, how are jets an exception? Should people be allowed to constantly teamkill the A10s and MiGs and Eurofighters or something?

Anything with this 20 min respwn should have a respawn time of less than 5 mins if it gets teamkilled after spawn etc...

It isn“t really fair that a team is so hampered by one guy who takes away a 20 min asset. Agree toitally on the rally, should not be knifable by friendlies at all.

This should be obbligatory, all servers should run a TK kick script in my opinion.
