Now, the Javelin has been turned down because it is "over powered" but what about if the Javelin's "guts" are put into the SRAW and ERYX? At least the SRAW, since the SRAW locks onto targets... But of course, to not make it "over powered" the view would be shorter, or just as far as it sees currently. And of course the missiles power would be reduced so that it would take 2 missiles(varies by spot like it already does) in order to kill armored vehicles. You catch my drift? To make the SRAW and ERYX not more powerful...to keep the same power, but to make it a little more realistic, so that they lock onto targetsm rather than just trying to guide an AT missile to its target 500 meters away, when in real life, it would lock on and then yopu are buy reloading. | |||

The SRAW is a F&F (Fire and Forget) weapon. You point at the target, shoot and the projectile itself does the work for you. So you are partly right on that one.
The Eryx is SACLOS guided which, for all intensive purposes, is what it is in PR right now. |

Hi guys. I was looking into this a while ago. I got the sraw to lock on to targets like it should, but the the project stalled when it became apparent that making the SRAW realistic had the opposite effect to what I was expecting. Rather than being the fire and forget monster to totally favour the US, the SRAW actually became a lot less efective than the Eryx in PR. This is because the SRAW can only hit moving targets at up to 200m away, which leads to the Eryx being superior in almost every way ingame.

I really think the Javelin could work for PR, only one per side of the team. You can limit that gun too, i mean, in the vid it looks like it locks on right away. IRL it takes a little while. Why cant we make it so that u have to track the target for a good 5-7 seconds within a box like in COD4, and then it fires. Only one javelin, longer relaod time at a supply crate or cache than the standard eryx now. ALso can make it so it doesnt track while ur moving, u have to stay still for persay 2-3 seconds, and then pull up ur scope and start tracking the target.
As far as iv noticed, the ERYX that are fired have a 90% hit ration in my book, it wouldnt be that much different for the javelin. Oh just thought of another thing, although there are no known countermeasures for the javelin and it is a heat signature tracker, we could make it a tadddd bit more fair if the smoke deployed by tank distorts the tracking. Not really realistic, but it wouldnt be that much more wrong from some other ideas implemented in PR... |

Javelin is fire and forget and its a one hit kill. Thats why it would be overpowered.

So a hat is a one shot kill too if you know how to use it.

HAT can take down a tank with one shot from the back or the tracks.

the javalin is oneshot-one kill only when using the top attack mode .
to balance his "overpowerness" give the javalin only one missil , not two like current HAT kits. and , just to increase realisticness , add "flares" to the t90 and ztz98 , since both tanks hav system to confuse and avoid traking by ATGM . |
