Boycott the J-10 >=(

Dont say Im a bad pilot. I'm actually pretty good at landing, taking off, and manouvering (Sure, I crash more then most, but I've been flying for 2 days..) And here's what I've noticed:

The J-10 sucks. (period)

Here's some faults about the J-10 vs. other aircraft:

J-10: Take off: (OMG it's so slow..) at 750 (units of speed...No idea what they're supposed to represent: to be refered as UOS from now on) and the entire runway.
Eurofighter Take off: 450 UOS, screw the runway, I use that space from the back of the runway to the building. (I've never crashed) (in Qinling)
F-16: On Kashan, I dont even pay attention to the speed, or the runway, I just get in, boot her up and yaw ontop the runway, and Im in the air ready to go in 20 seconds.
Havn't flown the (Mig?) MEC plane yet.

Landing:
J-10: Havn't landed yet, and trust me, I practice. The thing drops (almost literally) out of the sky at 800 UOS. Closest I've gotten was when I hit the runway at ~750, and bounced off it, crashing.
Eurofighter: I can take off, go one klick, turn around, and land: no problems.
F-16: Havn't really landed with it yet (only flown in training server)
MEC: Same as above.

In the air:
J-10: Like a cross between the A-10 and a tank. Slow as the A-10, about as manouverable as a Tank. (Drops out of the sky, read above.) (Max around 1650 UOS
Eurofighter: Handles like a candle flame. <3 (Max around 1750 UOS)
F-16: Aprox the same as the Euro
MEC: Read above.

Sure, I'm not the best pilot, but anyone can tell you, the J-10s suck.

Devs, I know that the J-10s raped your bums in Vanilla, but please, for the love of fairness, dont make them ass in PR. (other reasons they might suck: 1) Old? 2) Heavy? 3) Bum rape?)

Foot note: The Eurofighter Taxi's at around 70 UOS, while the J-10 CAPS at 50. Lame.-Back to trying to land the damn thing.

You forgot to mention that the J-10 takes what must be 3 times the amount of time to warm up for taxi than the Eurofighter.

Now I am not a bad pilot, I can fly the Eurofighter fine and land that all the time. Not hard after practice. But no matter what I do in the J-10 I cannot land. Below 700 the thing acts like a rock, so you have to stay above. Around that speed, with the J-10, you fly along the runway without slowing down. Its like you are landing on a runway of ice.

I agree completely with all your points. Especially the A-10/tank handling.

And your Boycotting it why? Its not like its going to make it get fixed any sooner... Like we have said many times before we know there are issues with it and we will fix them as soon as we can, but for now just live with it. In reality the J-10 is no match for a EF2000.

No please boycott it.. I play PR a lot and have never even got close to a J-10 or a Eurofighter, for that matter, to try it.. so please boycott it so maybe someone not willing to sit in the hanger for 10 minutes waiting for it to spawn will get a chance to see how bad it is.

Yeah, Ive had to take the entire map to turn it with my arrow keys, cause my mouse just cant do it. Annyoing to see apache try to hit it, than miss, than have to flip on my side and hit my down arrow and hold it to turn in a 2 degree arc around the map to get the target back in sights

yeah dont worry i agree with you and im working on it. sure it was op in vanila, but irl its not that great. i was expecting higher view distances and weapons range to level the playing field a bit. but anyways just think back to vanilla when you had a j-10 behind you, just apply some of those manoevers except now youre in the j-10 right lol ?

ahem. so if you were here for 0.6 you might remember the f-16 vs mig-29... yeah. so nobodys perfect right? we're in the process of testing it right now along with some other toys for you to crash :P. if the missiles are upraded so manievering will only be part of it. but i digress, im sorry about the j-10 situation, and yes you're right and yes it will be fixed.

*the J-10 is more or less an F-16/Rafael mutant in real life, making it extremely and utterly... mediore. i plan on speeding it up so its closer to the F-16. The great part about prs choice of aircraft is that despite the some planes being newer (j-10 released just after 2002 i believe), they have very similar roles so balancing *ahem* shouldnt have been a problem.

Its not necessarily the fact that the J-10 is crap (although I wish it would land better) but also that is was balanced 2v2 when one is much much better. You can´t have symmetrical balance with an asymmetrical aircraft.

Anyway cas, can´t wait.
