Default Armoured Recovery Vehicle

I looked around and the closest thing to this was the Badger in the already suggested list. The idea hit me when an armor map basically went one sided. Would it be possible to have armoured recovery vehicles that could go out to wrecked friendly tanks and "recover" them?. Of course they wouldnt tow the hulk back to base but after a generous amount of sitting in one place "recovering" a tank they could reduce the respawn of one piece of armor back at base.

That way all the tank squads could go recover tanks instead of sitting at base waiting.

i like it but maybe it could pull cars and tanks and then the repair car could be used to fix them farther back.

I like the general idea except if your tank gets ...blown to hell and you go back to it you may well suffer the same again because the enemy may be camping but it still may be a worthy idea. Especially for the Brits and I like the tow back to base idea personally. I know it'd be time consuming but I'm sure you won't complain if you have your tank back quicker.

I like the idea... but instead of reducing the spawn time behind the subjected vehicle (which IMO could cause more problems than solve), make it so that the ARVs are the only vehicles capable of bringing a wrecked vehicle back to an active state (if this is possible). Basically the ARV could have a driver and gunner position. The gunner would have control of some sort of repair mechanism, and by clicking his/her fire button he/she can repair the vehicle in front of them.

It would only work on tanks, apcs, ifvs, and jeeps for the most part (we don't want it being exploited to repair downed helicopters). Should the ARVs be capable of doing this, the ability for support vehicles to repair vehicles should be disabled. They should only be capable of rearming, while the ARVs repair and "revive" wrecked vehicles.

sound like a very cool idea, if it can work with the engine.

Okay no towing. Kind of like in the game 'Joint Task Force'

Well, that occured to me about just repairing wrecks in-field. But, it leaves the issues of:
A) where the new crewman kits come from when people are ready to use the refurb tanks
B) will the repair crew simply abandon their ARV and take that shiny new abrahms they just restored
C) a lot of the devs talk about walking the fine line between playability and realism, I think for the two reasons above and the realism bit that lowering the respawn on vehicles back at base would probably fit in better than the whole magical wrench idea that in a lot of circumstance are unavoidable in PR.
