A clan mate of mine has recently had this idea for a new gamemode, which I don't remember ever being suggested.
There would be two or three support trucks, slightly remodeled to be full of food or supplies at a regular armies main base. There would also be a new class, totally unarmed, which would be the only ones permittd to drive these trucks. The map would be a huge kashan sized map with a lot of trees and several interconnected villages, regular army vs rebels. At each of the villages there would be one flag, initially owned by the rebel faction and only cappable by the trucks, using a similar code to the vip extraction but with a timer at each checkpoint/flag. The troops of the regular army would not be able to cap the flags, so must defend the trucks all the way across the map from village to village giving food and water to the inhabitants of each village as they go. Any of the militia faction could recapture the last flag taken and drive the trucks to their villages to gain tickets and a commander support truck to spawn from once they exited, this way the rebel forces would not know where the truck is unless it is unmanned, providing another incentive to keep it protected. Once it is a militia spawn truck it becomes team locked. While I am not aware of any real situation like this it does seem realistic enough for a regular army to escort a relief effort around terrain controlled by an enemy paramilitary group to gain the support of the citizens of the area while the rebel group attacks the convoy to use the supplies for their own purposes and to gain the support of the local population as well, while both sides wage a propaganda war. Potential problems: new kit: would need only binocculars and fiel dressings, and could use an existing model Getting trucks to take flags: use the code from the vip extraction on Al Basrah to make each 'flag' a checkpoint, attach a timer and a flag like thing which sort of behaves like regular flags (shows up to troops, shows time till capped with the coloured bars, shows up on map) Remodeled trucks: I think the support trucks are made by the dev team, so would not require a new model, just a tarpaulin on the back covering something large that could be food or water containers. The rebels would use the unloaded regular armies truck model as the spawn truck. Destruction of trucks: a destroyed truck would cost the regular army 20 or so tickets and give the rebels a quarter of the tickets they would get if they captured it and it could act as a place to get health, but not ammo, and perhaps as a spawn point for the rebels. It should be team locked to the rebels when destroyed so the regular army can take out their spawn point. Alternatively it can be 'repaired' with another relief truck nearby to re-gain tickets from it and then change the model to the destroyed version of the unloaded truck and removes the ability to get health from it. Lone truck at a flag: This should show up to the rebels who would be able to get their in time to get the lone truck for themselves. Truck capture: possibly use similar code to the flags, where if enough rebels are nearby the truck is 'captured' and the driver dies, similar to the wrong kit thing, so the regular troops must stay with it. |

The way I see it is a objective mode for the rebels/insurgents. The truck has to make its way past checkpoints ( like VIP Escort) only there are three trucks and they have to remain in that area with out being destroyed fro 1 minute (more or less).
Maybe stick a blue sticker on the truck? |

now this is a great idea to add a NATO faction :P have a mix of nations (all in with that blue hat) but with different guns to represent the different NATO countries. or just 1 , i don't mind. but NATO sound like they would fit this good.

Well we were thinking about a regular army (mainly british) as this would be deep in enemy territory and they would be under attack almost constantly. We don't really see the need to add yet another new faction for this.
