I cant but help to remember how i was repeatedly told/trained to be in a specific prone position, in case of aerial attack or whatever, to protect myself from the blast. I cant but to wonder how true this is in real life situation but considering that some of the weapons like grenades rely on "fragmentation effect" for the most part to do its damage, so it cant be all false.
So i have to ask, wouldnt it be possible to simulate these by adding "extra protection" when in prone from grenades/whatever in BF2? For instance in case of grenades, having two damaging factors, one smaller area and one bigger (fragments?) where in case of the later, while in prone, should be less threating/damaging? I thought about this as i watched some nice documention, in Discovery channel i believe, where they tested explosives etc. against targets. Had something to do with Afganistan and some new kind of bomb they developed for attacking "insurgents" (rural regions) inside tunnels. |

Oh, I didn't even know that my stance didn't actually matter for explosions.
I always automatically go prone for unavoidable explosions. |

Was under the impression that a fragmentation effect is already in effect in reference to fragmentation grenades and that being in the prone position DOES help. I've been very close to grenades and not died before, and been relatively far away from them and have died.

everything cool IS hardcoded - too true,
when im a bit older and very rich im giving PR so much money to make there own game because they deserve it and to be honest , it would be the best FPS ever. with there own game NOTHING would be hardcoded YAY |
