I like the idea a suppressed weapon but maybe only in the officer kit. that would counteract the "army of silenced weapons". It would also make more people want to have that kit.

Requestable stealth specops with silenced Mp5 for US, silenced AKs74u for insurgents, Mp5 as well for MEC?
Well, it's what I think would do good. Keeping the normal Spec ops.

You can't just screw a supressor on an MP5. People need to stop saying that, it's a whole new weapon, the MP5SD:

And the MP5 is no more than a rapid fire pistol. It's weak, it fires 9mm rounds and is inaccurate.

yea its more of a pdw or police weapon and has no place in the hands of a frontline soldier other than tank crew.

Question: On Socom Navy Seals Fireteam Bravo 2, the silencer's that you can equip your weapon with are heavy and light, when you read the description on them it says that they muffle the sound but reduce accuracy. WTF??????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????
I thought that silencers kept or improved the accuracy, but limited the dammage that the slug does to the enemy. Which is right??

IMO if you give it silencers, spec ops should be a limited kit.

If the SF got the MP5SD6, it would have to be on urban maps. Like Xizor said, its 9mm. The range isnt amazing on them so it would be limited to CQB.

America was a tad late into the First World War. They redeemed themself's and came in slightly sooner in the Second. Now they seem determined to start the Third.

Not too many SF operators carry MP5s anymore. And very few use suppressed weapons afaik, but it would fit the way the class *should* be played (as opposed to how it currently is with the M4).

Plus uh... hehe.. while game ideas are always welcome.. er.... 60% of the discussions on the forums revolve around the US, 30% around the UK and 10% take into account the MEC and PLA.. gets a lil tiring when folks repeatedly discuss how simple it would be to do "X" based solely on the view that the US or British factions are the only ones we need to look at.

We have some plans in place that sorta add a different perspective on the role of the SF class, but not for v0.5. If I told you about the plans I'd have to come to your house and kill you with a suppressed MP5.

Cheers!
