Post Battlegroup Frontlines #41 - Death from above

Welcome to yet another Battlegroup Frontlines update (number 41, to be exact). We want to apologize for the lack of a weekly update for the past few weeks, but our team has been hard at work testing the latest release candidate build to work out the kinks.

That`s right, we are in the latter stages of testing, and everyday move closer to a release. We won`t post a date yet, simply because we don`t know the exact day...but it will be soon.

We have also updated our media section on our main website with most of the content shown in past news posts, so be sure to check it out, as we continue to add more!

For the meat of our update today, we give you a latecomer to the mod, our Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-3. By the time of Operation Barbarossa (Germany`s full-scale invasion of the Soviet Union), over 1,200 of these warbirds were ready for action. While the Mig-3 was a formidable aircraft, it often found itself forced into roles that it was not designed for, such as low altitude fighting and ground attacking. Nevertheless, it is showing promise against it`s nemesis, the BF109, in our testing sessions, and we hope you will enjoy it!

We also have some renders of some of the weapons that have been ingame for some time now. First, we give you some of the bombs used by the Luftwaffe, in the form of an SC-50 (50kg), SC-250 (250kg), and SC-500 (500kg).

And to answer this ordinance threat, the Soviets have the FAB-100 (100kg) bomb and the RS-82 (82mm) unguided rocket on hand.

Next up, we have a Maschinengewehr 34, which is still regarded as one of the best machine-gun designs ever made.

And last for this week, we introduce the Soviet anti-tank mine, TM-35, to our German armored forces. With up to 2.8kg of TNT packed inside, this little box will keep them on their toes!

As we continue to test, we will do our best to update you guys and girls on the progress. We know you are anxious to play BGF, and believe me, we are just as anxious to get it to you! But we want a stable release, with as few bugs as possible, and we know you will appreciate this extra effort. So stay tuned!
