Commanders: talk to individual squads!

Talk to all squad leaders: Use the commander chat key
Talk to ONE squad leader: Use the squad chat key

That's right, as the commander you can speak directly to one squad leader by highlighting the squad in the commander screen then using the normal squad chat key as if you were in the squad and speaking to your squadmates.

This is an old but extremely valuable tip that more commanders need to use. There is nothing more frustrating than as a squad leader, not being able to hear your team or what's going on around you because the commander is constantly speaking to other squads with information that has nothing to do with your objective. When it's necessary to speak to all, use the all key. When you want to speak to one, use the one key.

Please!

Use the individual SL comms to speak to individual squad leaders. Your team will love you for it.

Remember you can only use this feature while in the commander map screen.

You cannot use this while out of the commander screen.

You can also speak to multiple selected squads by entering the commander screen.. holding shift and selecting the squads you want to speak to and then using your squad chat key.

OH! I was just selecting 1 squad and then using V key. That still talks to everyone right... You have to use the B key... I see...

Great! thanks for the tip. I was still using the 'all' key to get info to only 2 or 3 squads quickly. :

Always forget the rules and got to be honest when I say that I tend to do most of my ordering to squads whilst on the move when I have the most opportunity to do so, having no chance to hide and pull the commander screen up. Otherwise commanders would be two flags behind everyone else!

I also guess some of us are also too used to having TS on, making things worse than a lot of people could ever guess! iGi TS intensity has thinned somewhat recently and the main of speech coming over it is tactical reports of enemy, their movement directions and players reporting their next movements. This is making combined voip ingame easier to deal with now, although I have to admit that we all respect those who scream, "everyone quiet, listening for enemy" by actually doing so!

You want to try being a radio operator in the field IRL !!! I remember being almost 'blinded' by radio messages coming in over one ear, listening to my commander with the other, shouted orders of enemy reports, movement, etc. Often falling behind on things. Not being highly trained you had to be led around like John Wyndhams blind citizens of a post meteor stricken, triffid infested Britain. If you had the radio, you were crippled as an effective fighting troop, there is no denying it. All you were good for is covering fire, not actual fighting on the run.

Commanders that don't do this give me a Headache, however at first i din't know you could do this :P.

Also I dislike Teamspeak because i find it has too many people on it at times, its hard to listen to many at once (For me anyway)

[R-DEV]Gaz: I just tend to be in the middle, banning everyone
